I never comment on videos but as someone who is building their first gaming pc and trying to learn, your videos have been so instrumental. When looking for reviews on parts or potential problems with said parts and cases, it’s your content that I get the answers and recommendations from and trust. Literally pick a component I like and search it on KZbin, there you are. Please keep the amazing content coming!

You know for all of the hype from big channel;s about this is the best new PC building guide or hey watch us build a new PC beginners version, I am so thankful I found this channel, I am not a first time builder but I haven't built a new pc in years and unfortunately I am also the proud owner of a brain that second guesses every action I take and deals with it by creating mass amount of anxiety and stress for myself. Therefore, it also leads to a pretty big procrastination problem. I wait to do or finish projects due to second guessing myself and the anxiety that creates, yeah I know, a self created vicious cycle, can you say therapy, lol....proud to say I'm working through it, but I digress. Your video is the first one i have actually found that describes the thing i freak-out about the most the little, simple things, the oh I should know this, things...and it has helped so much! I am not an idiot but I sincerely do second guess every move, especially if I am not versed in what I am trying to accomplish. You helped me avoid a lot of anxiety, so thank you. I am now a proud sub of the Provoked Prawn, and gladly so! Thank you, again!!

Cheaper cases I use for building for friends/family have separate cables for all the front panel connections so first time assemblers may well struggle. Also, I always include a speaker in my builds as this will alert you to problems and is a user confidence booster. The set of front case pins on my motherboard were labeled as (JFP1). I had a hard time finding out where to plug in all of my front case power switches, but I was able to download the manual for my motherboard and it had a diagram of how to plug in the front case connections using the JFP1 header. 1st time builder but im going all out regardless. Ended up going with an MSI z790 Carbon Wifi Motherboard, i7 13700k, MSI 4090 Gaming X Trio 24Gb, Arctic Freezer ii 420 AIO, 9 additional QL120 Corsair fans, and 32gb corsair dominator. I've had all my parts for a week and still got a long way to go before it's up and running but it has been worth the experience. Had a few setbacks but overall it's been OK. Just found out that my Atx Cpu psu cables aren't long enough to reach the motherboard, now I have to wait yet another day to continue the build. Anywho, thanks for the video.

Now what do you do if you run 2 pumps? Is there a cable to split them from the mobo?

what kind of cases would be good, as well as cost efficient to start without having to buy the cables or a psu or anything?

No cases come with a PSU as far as I know. Unless you buy a fully pre built pc

There are a few PC cases that I've see that have a PSU included. I would be weary of those PSUs as they are typically of low quality. I wouldn't risk my PC by cheaping out on a power supply.

Most cases I have bought - mainly Cooleraster have lots of separate plugs for the Front panel so yours was much easier.

stupid question, but assuming we are using a modular power supply, and we don't have any peripheries such as RGB or the like, does that mean the sata cable is unnecessary?

Is it common to no longer provide a reset lead from the front panel (that has a reset button)? Is it somehow combined with another connector? There are no combo connectors other than USB that I can find. I have a Gamdias case with no wire but has a reset button on the front. My MB header has a slot for "reset" to be plugged in. It's an ASUS PRIME Z690-P D4 ATX Motherboard.

I have a NZXT B650e, and trying to figure out where to plug in Corsair xt. From what I’ve read they require 12v usb but I don’t know if this board has them. Any idea where I would plug up to?
