It's actually not helpful for most AP builds since you will be using all skills most of the time once all of it are available (so that means you don't have at least 2 skills that isn't on cooldown), so it's kind of condradicting.

Exactly what I have seen with it. It’s not worth it. All my skills refresh way too quick for this mod to work.

@@baptistecarrio444 I agree that's why I said "for most AP builds", I have a Techno Tools of destruction build but uses all skill most of the time, that means all skills are on cool down most of the time and that depends on your build.

this basically only applies to technos who can afford leaving 2 skills off cd for the bonus. for most ppl itll end up being a FP buff.

Most people don't know how to use mods correctly, Mages Rage main purpose is for boss fights, not adds unless you're good at hitting critical points on enemies which regardless of type is on the head. They have body critical points as well but you get what I mean. Anyway Deathronome is more of a flat boost useful for add clearing, but for boss damage Mages Rage 40% boost can't be beat by any single mod currently in the game. You can play around with it, such as applying Deathronome to a weapon that rolls with Mages Rage to really take things to an absurd level, but they both play their parts very well. Boss damage is very important, especially for those struggling through content with not so synergetic builds. Play mods toward the most useful position, Mages Rage is a boss centric mod for obvious reasons and Deathronome is great for add clearing as with certain builds like Devastator it can boost your armor to obscene levels off the neutral state AP boost. PCG tried to reduce effectiveness of NRAF to get food to try other things, but most of those other things require too much sacrifices and therefore aren't worth the effort to even utilize. Combo of NRAF and Unstoppable Force is just too good especially when combined with class build that focus on increasing Armor piercing, which also synergizes with mods like circle of power, you can see why trying to go find other avenues to gain extra AP through other mods doesn't really work as well and might hamper your build forcing you to choose between a skill or the mod itself. Basically going off the meta path, it's great for optional stuff but it's not great when you want fine tuned damage focus. I do applaud then for ensuring that the meta builds don't get too out of hand to the point that you need to run them or you simply can't progress. Still working my way through what I think are some glitchy damage coming from the final Arbiter. At times feels like it just does massive damage out of nowhere even though I'm pretty much full powered in defense and not under effects of a debuff. Some really cheap stuff PCF programmed for the enemies to be able to do, infinite range throwing weapons is one of them, infuriating to see that still happening from corsairs, someone needs to fix that foolishness or allow me to also have infinite range on hunt the prey and leap, is only fair or the fact the AI can climb within the battlefield any area🤷. Fun game but some cheap tactics intentionally in the game are infuriating, no matter how much I can smash the AI, it's still dumb to see happen.

I am glad someone finally made a video on this I have been using it and although I am still trying to grind up Apoc tiers it's been a solid addition to my build.

Do you get a huge ap boost with both on a weapon? One needs you to shoot a lot and the other mod just needs you to use your powers a lot.

I rolled a crit, status, long range purple LMG with mages rage and anomaly enhancement and put dethtronme on my 1st mod slot im tier 35 120 ascension and I hit 5 000 000 to 32 000 000 on crits roughly with my current set up on my technomancer.

Nice 😊. One more use case I think: if you are using skills that have more than one use, say Eruption x 3, then if you only use one skill (it will then go on cooldown, or not) before using Eruption x 3, the Eruptions will still be having the AP benefit from Deathonome. 😊 I have not tested that but in theory it should be the case

Deathronome works really good with the Tricker's Cyclone, Devastator's Golem, Techno's tool of destruction...as long as you use two other skills that have fast cooldowns.

As a console player, i couldnt hit the broad side of a barn let alone a crit shot on a moving target. I do like full auto snipers tho for their dual utility

Always been one that liked dethronome over mage's rage. I aim about as well as a new born baby, so dethronome always seemed the better choice. That with resistance breaker since it just cares about shots in general and you are golden

People also don't realize that it says when 2 skills are on cooldown. That means 2 specifically. Get that third skill on cooldown and you get that ap boost back.

There is a gear mod that increases your anomaly power by a percentage that is half of your resistance piercing %; from what I understand, if your resistance piercing is 100%, this would increase your anomaly power by 50%… by utilizing no resistance against the fortified; it’s possible to get anywhere over 100% resistance pierce

I'm going to have to try it later how I test anomaly builds is on scorch lands , if you kill the last broodmother really fast the other monsters don't even spawn, and expedite ends . Thank you for the help ..

This will not work for Pyro build that utilizes Backdraft node on Pax Tree. But I can see it being better for those that can keep two skills off cooldown on an AP build.

This is misleading, it's not a fair comparison the way you did it. It's all relative, all depends, not as simple as you present it. Percentage increases like Mage's Rage and % AP nodes need flat bonus AP to get value. If you strip it all down to the minimum of course a flat increase will give more, because Mage's Rage doesn't have much to work with. Your test is skewed. Take a build with only Arms and Anomaly and Anomaly Echo for AP. Those two mods give little over 1 million bonus AP when active on level 75. Let's say it's even million. 40% of that is 400k, which is more AP than Deathronome gives on that level. So with no other % increases it would be better to have Mage's Rage. The more bonus AP a build has the better all those things that give percentage increases become, but the other way around is true as well, so it's important to have a good balance of both. It also depends on how the build itself plays. Very easy to have Deathronome give AP in camp and show that but in some builds it's just not feasible to have no or just 1 skill on cooldown and have it give AP when it actually matters. And in some of those builds that can reliably keep up that AP from Deathronome it might be best to have both of those mods if possible.

Hey Nalier, In the examples near the end of the video, the armour mods were shown before testing on the elite, which both included A&A and activating capstones for AP boosts, just missed off echo as didn't get lucky with apoc slots, so I'd say this is a worthwhile test for being in a combat situation. Both used crits to trigger their abilities to the fullest potential and activated the capstone, so I do feel this was a great show of the mods compared to each other. I agree echo would help mages a little more in that regard, but I'd still say Nome would win that (and I'll happily test myself when I get the rolls) How I assume the maths works on this is the capstones and skill trees all increase base AP which applies to deathronome as it's a base increase, compared to mages which is treated as a multiplier, which will be where Nome beats out mages on. This is just a theory I have, nothing concrete yet, so I'll see if I can look into this (so much easier to test with a firing range 😅) - SongsOfRaze

I tried deathronome on my reforged build and it was pointless as my skills are never on cooldown long enough due to bottom Pac tree. Also wasn't a massive fan of MR. Anomaly echo is a simple guaranteed bonus for me.

@@BabbleOn No new theories needed here, we know how it all works. All bonus AP we have is multiplied by any % AP we have. That's it. Mage's works exactly the same as % AP nodes, it multiplies all bonus AP we have. It's additive with % nodes and multiplicative with all bonus AP we have. It's just a matter of knowing how much bonus AP you have in the build and which is more beneficial - % AP increase or a flat bonus AP increase.

Yeah I’ve been using deathronome ever since I got. Because I had gotten it before mages rage. And personally imo, I think mages rage is garbage! Combine deathronome with anomaly enhancement and you’re hanging n banging!

@@BabbleOn Because this mod when paired with things like paladin for dev as well as ap boosting for other builds 40 percent will be a lot more and higher than a flat power buff. Plus it only works for select builds where mages rage is universal across multiple builds. It improves it somewhat but not as much as 40 percent
