Clickbait at its finest. If you’re watching this stop immediately and don’t waste any more of your time. Most everything said is misleading. I only clicked on this for the interesting looking “canik revolver” gun that they used as the solitary thumb-tab for the video. The gun he used in the thumb tab for this video is completely fabricated and doesn’t even exist if that tells you anything.

When became aware of the K6S .357. It was love at first sight! but I had already obtained a .357 Ruger LCR. I pimped it out with an Ergo Delta Grip then practiced with it religiously. The trigger out of the box is remarkably good and only gets better, over time. I would snap up the Kimber in a heartbeat, But even with the deficit of one round, My LCR is almost an extension of my physiology

I had the worst experience with the newer k6xs, both the first one failed on lock up, and the second one the same, Shooting lefty with any axial pressure on trigger, the action would lock up, push the trigger sideways you would hear a click and it would reset, almost funny but not. The first gun had terrible to go back for very rough trigger, and came back perfect but began lock up on dry fire, sent it back asked for new gun. They send a new gun, and guess what, the lockup again. Dealer verified and we figured it was that they were not duplicating the problem if fired by right handed shooter. Back to my old friend, j frame for the past 45 years.

Smith used to know how to recess those chambers. They also knew how to make the weapon with no offsets on the barrel. I still enjoy my Smiths but the barrel is offset just enough to see on my 686+.

@tjzulu1 The centerline of the barrel is offset from the centerline of the site which should be centered in the frame. Research this not uncommon problem. There are numerous yt kids. It's sad.

Smith and Wesson quality control has diminished in recent years. There's been reports of newer Smith & Wesson revolvers breaking below 20 shots. Smith & Wesson needs to get it together for what they charge for their firearms.

Compare the S&W 327, 8 shot .357 magnum with this Kimber! The Smith & Wesson 327 can be purchased for $1,055.74 and a better handgun. The Performance Center model is $1,469.00. Both S&W's are superior to the Kimber. I prefer the EAA Windicator .357 magnum 2 inch barrel at under $400.00!

I carry the 2" internal hammer DAO K6S in my pocket every day. I love the way it looks, the way it feels in my hand, its accuracy, and especially its trigger. I have other larger guns I'd rather carry in a holster on my belt, and then the K6S becomes my backup. But many times I can't carry that way (I don't think open carry, while legal here, is an especially smart thing to do), and the K6S always goes with me and makes me feel like I have a great option to defend myself.
@bryansimmons4550

You mean "trigger cocking only." "Single action" refers to thumbcocking the hammer, which a "DAO" gun can NOT do.

Yeah the Kimber K6S MSRP is almost $1,200.00 that's not a small point. That's a definite Deal breaker for most of us. Don't bother to mention the price tag there Buddy. Wonder why. Hex screws. ( yes You forgot to mention the price. You can almost buy 2 Ruger's or Smith and Wessons for what the K6S costs.

Should have been honorable mention of the K6 XS. Not for 357 of course, but the revolver is lighter than the regular K6 S. I love it so much I have two. Definitely more fun to shoot than the Model 60 I have, and I compared it to the King Cobra and S&W before I purchased the Kimber. Perhaps best of all for the K6 XS is that it is significantly cheaper than the K6 S. 38 Special is fine for me, over 357.

This video is silly. Most of the revolvers shown in the first 2 minutes are not "snub nosed" at all. Many look like they have barrels in excess of 3 inches. Actually, in a snub nosed revolver, a .357 magnum load is not able to achieve its full potential because a lot of the powder burn is wasted beyond the end of the short muzzle. It looks impressive, buy you may as well use .38 special ammo, it is cheaper, and in a snub nosed revolver the difference in velocity is not that great. in revolvers with a longer barrel, 4 or 5 inced or more, where the expanding gasses of the powder burn can act on the projectile longer, and not go to ware in an open air muzzle flash, the .357 magnum load makes much more sense.

I’ve got a SW 60-9 I bought in 1996 and works great to this day. It excels for being accurate and reliable. As for Kimber, you are right mentioning many of us “rolling our eyes” - because Kimber has been discussed for years on quality issues. Maybe it is fixed maybe not. I liked how Kimber’s look, but as for reliability it is questionable based on reviews I have read and what people have said of their experiences. You decide for you.

There is a Balance in small/Med revolvers using a 357. One thing is using a 38 Spcl +P ammo, and a 357 Mag. My small Is a S&W M36. Or a Walter PPK. in 32 ACP. A light 357 can't be handlled by everyone. My Pick is a K Frame M19(Mine has a 6" barrel, but prefer it over my M27 with 4" barrel) Combat Magnum. Not to Small and not to big. Will have to take a look at the Kimber. My M36 has scarry let off single action and still original

NOPE. The first and second production S&W Models 13 and 65 (same gun, but the 65 is stainless) are THE perfect "snub nose" guns when they have 3" barrels. They both hold 6 rounds of .357 in neat counterbored chambers, and the 3" Model 13 was the FBI's choice when they stepped up from .38's and .45ACP 1911's. S&W triggers and accuracy are unrivaled, especially if you are shooting from hammer cocked (incorrectly called "DA mode""). I would NOT buy a modern Hillary hole Smith, but the ones from the 50's on through the 80's are the BEST. Don't waste your money on overpriced Kimbers and Colts. However, I DO recommend ONE Colt ---- the Lightweight Colt Agent in .38 Special. Load it up with Buffalo Bore 158 Grain LSWCHP's for pure social work and you can't go wrong. Just don't expect to shoot 50 of those things casually at the range. This combination is for up claose and personal when it matters the MOST. Shop around and you can find a used one in the $600 range. "Used" means shot 6-12 times, then put away in a drawer because the little thing KICKS. But you don't feel "kick" when your life is on the line. When the adrenaline is flowing, you don't even HEAR the gun go off.
