What can we say. The ROG Ally is seriously... seriously impressive. AMD Ryzen Z1 Extreme performs really well and couple that with the dual fan cooling system that's on the Ally and you actually get a handheld PC that you can play and enjoy without any intrusive fans whirring away.
This is some serious competition for the Steam Deck and we are all for it.

Looks like we weren't too far off the mark! The ROG Ally with the AMD Ryzen Z1 Extreme / 16GB LPDDR5 / 512GB PCIe Gen4 SSD will retail for US$699.

The right thumbstick is too low on the unit. You can see many reviewers compensate by slightly shifting the unit up out of their right palm. A work-around would be after market "horns" for the bottom corners of the unit. Too bad, it looks amazing otherwise. Thanks for the review.

With the Ally are you able to connect to a monitor, mouse, and keyboard and use it like a computer without the expensive external GPU?

Yes you can, just gotta plug in a USB-C dock!

I can't leave steamdeck's trackpad tribe. You should try playing around with it and try it on different shooting game, you will forget that analog stick.

How much battery life could you get with DMC 5?

Same as stated with the other games. Because the Ally locks the TDP on the chip, so think of it as the opposite of the Switch. On the Switch, the game dictates the load on the Tegra and thus you get varying battery life with different games. Whereas on the Ally, the system dictates the load on the Z1 Extreme, and games just perform differently depending. So if you’re running on the Performance profile which is an average of 15-20W, any game would experience the same battery life no matter how they run.

If you’re overcompensating with the sticks, i would suggest putting the game controller sensitivity to a slower speed

Forget the Steam Deck, we all know hardware wise, ROG Ally is ahead but the battery is around 1 hour only for AAA games, we are more interested for the acc and what we can do with this Ally.

Yes it should, as it runs standard Windows 11.

The only thing that does not make snese on the Steam Deck, not all the games in Steams can be played on it, so its like another sub-Stream OS. *I understand AAA games require more hardware power.

Bruh, window's sucks i have the ayaneo air plus and deivers keep crashing window's 11 really is the issues here. It doesn't hold its own against the steam deck.
