Forging a Bronze Age style sword from a semi truck leaf spring, part 3.
The sword is forged from a salvaged leaf spring, 5160 steel, this steel very good for swords and big knives.
I use molds to forge the profile, as the central ridge common in most Bronze Age swords is almost impossible to make otherwise.
The sword is full tang, including the guard. The blade length is approximately 60 cm.

The craftsmanship that goes into making this sword, the skill, the time is nothing short of amazing. However I can’t help but think how awesome the craftsmen were that existed in the Bronze Age to produce something similar to this but without any modern machinery!

My only problem with it is that handle design had so little grip with just that finally sanded wood that if your hand got sweaty the sword would slip out of your hand
