Congratulations on becoming a Cavalry Scout. The journey that you and your family have embarked on has really just begun. As you travel along this path there will be good days as well as bad days. The ability to overcoming those bad ones depend on your internal strength. That same strength that got you through Basic and AIT will be the strength you will need to help you along your journey in uniform. To all of the family members, Your Soldier will depend on you to be there for them when they need it most. Remember, basic training isn't difficult, but the trainees, you all make it difficult because of not listening, doing dumb stuff, etc. The NCO's are giving you the answers, so just remember and execute it and work as a team.

Just remember in the BCT phase, even jf you did it perfectly you'll still be yelled at. It's part of the magic, don't take it personally take it for what it is. Roll your boots at night before you hit your rack to help break them in easier, change your socks every day, and if they let you buy foot powder, get some (Navy SeaBee here)

I've heard this is a pretty dangerous MOS. I've even heard people reference them as "speedbumps". Meaning they get killed ahead of the front line and ran over. Not actually ran over, but in theory. Is it really a very dangerous MOS?

Sorry, but no, you have to be U.S citizen, and go through a lot of other process to get into the U.S Army.

There’s a program for it you actually can, we have a Mexican kid in our unit who joined so just talk to a recruiter
