A handle in four pieces! No pins or leather! very nicely done. The other day I saw in your shop, in the background of the video, a huge Steel made something (animal, dinossaur, Robot?). Please show us the other things you do in this shop. This is a great sowrd indeed. congrats!

Magnificent work fantastic craftsmanship with one question would it have been better to tap the handle end and make an ornate nut to hold on the handle and pommel for ease of servicing rather than riveting which limits that chance to maybe only once if you are lucky?

That makes it a bit of a catch 22 situation for the future if the wooden handle breaks more than once (: still amazing work Freerk i am very impressed looking forward to your next Project Maybe a fencing Foil or sabre?

Moondyne .Joe these swords will be mostly on display. I do make swords for sword fighters but those are more practical than beatiful. Anyway. You can still use this sword if you would be so inclined. A wooden handle can be replaced without removing the pommel.

As a sword fighter, peened nuts are better, as they accept the vibration of the hits a lot better. Threaded pommels constantly have to be retightened, and if they are not round or octagonal it is problematic to tighten them. You can replace a broken handle the same way you added the new one :)
