Hi Loz, great stuff ! Can't wait to see how it turns out, you always set the bar so high... I always have great expectations from your ideas and when you post a video I know it's going to be a great night on You Tube! Greetings from Churchtown.

With fossil it’s really easy to pull the different patterns to the surface with a really deep cut ladder patter style.

The file knife should be a hell of a cutter. File knives usually treat up great. The hobo damascus might have had a better chance welding if you had cleaned the scale off the bits on the grinder first.

Yep good files make fantastic knives James. The off cuts were clean mate had them in acid until they were spotless I've figured out why the saw chips are hard to weld and I'll explain in the next vid bud.

Have you ever used chips fro the lathe? Some of the long helical ones might look cool

Good day Sir, always a pleasure to watch your work. I’m wondering if there is name on your leg vise? Mine is identical. 🇨🇦 I do a lot of go mai with wrought. It’s so beautiful. I like files for core as they are great steel and colour really well. 15N20 bandsaw blades for the middle. Thanks for sharing your work, I learn from you every time.

Has anyone ever attempted to forge a pattern that looks like an ammonite fossil, you know that spiral look the shell has. Be cool to see if its doable Loz
