Just amazing. I've always been kind of torn between pursuing an academic career or something more hands on and unique like this. Deep down this seems like a dream job.

Wow, the massive pieces you were working made that anvil look small! I know it's not, but I feel like those blows could have caused an anvil twice that weight to still dance around. I absolutely love the end result! It must feel like your walking through a door meant for a giant!

Wonderful work. I do the same peening texture on a lot of what I make, never to that scale, though. It's actually one of the most fun things I do and I love how it can bring life to the flat plane.

I've always been curious how you can get such repeat precision in a hand craft. Do you have a method for dealing with symmetry?

No short way around it, just had to put in a lot of time honing different skills. Trial and error, and learning how to do it better next time.

Amazing work as always. I have a question regarding something I've always wondered about when it comes to blacksmithing. After years of hammering metal, do you run the risk of developing microfractures in your bones? All the vibration from hammering... does it take it's toll on the body?
