There will no doubt be plenty of people who enjoy this one, I just couldn't get on with the visual quality, not being able to see what was shooting me and I also had some performance issues, let me know if you've played it and how you found it though. Thanks for watching!

I'm glad to have owned both this and it's sequel on PC which the particular sub-genre in the first person shooter is made control and mechanics wise for mouse and keyboard rather than a controller or on handheld. FMF1 was one of 2022's most underrated 1.0 released shooters and yes my experience was not without it's hiccups towards the last couple of levels prior to the end boss with Cthulhu it still was worth a playthrough with both playable characters and worth it as well for achievement completitionists. With the sequel I'm on the first map of chapter 3 and I'm so far having more fun with it than I did with the first game with two exceptions with the second boss and the part of the Basement level where your in a maze full of explosive barrels, mimics, and occasional eldritch monstrosities of standard enemies and all. I 100%ed FMF1's achievements and am rocking 20 out of 32 of FMF2's achievements. No offensive with the Switch because it's an amazing platform though it's hardware capability limits on how multiplatform games rather AAA, AA, or indie performance function in appearance, gameplay, and accessibility. I’ve played a good ways into the game and find there are some bugs that should be addressed, notably that bosses seem to absorb a bunch of damage before their health bar actually starts taking hits, some enemies don’t spawn in correctly and are invisible and an audio glitch that mutes certain sound effects, otherwise I really enjoy it but I’ll probably stop playing it until the boss health pool glitch is addressed otherwise I just waste ammo not actually hurting the boss, the blurry models don’t bother me that much but the glitches are a bit much with affecting the gameplay to such a degree.

Well, at least you enjoyed it for the most part, I have always struggled with the lower resolutions and visual issues on the Switch but a lot of people don't have a problem with them.

@@SwitchStars I feel like it could probably look much nicer given what some games look like on Switch, it would bother me more if I were to focus on it but if a game is good enough I can usually get distracted by the gameplay, that said I would love it if they could clean it up a bit the models are something to appreciate in better clarity, currently for retro shooters Project warlock and Dusk are better options. Great video by the way, to the point and fair.

Just literally played this on Series S. Spectacular visual style and overall presentation. I just felt that the gunplay was a little weird. Seems like the enemies were "gliding" quickly towards me, and my character had trouble lining up the enemies because of how fast they were moving. The game is fun, tho.

I saw switchups review. It looked good. But I got it on steam. It's 10 bucks there too. So less than half of the switch port.

This port is definitely alot diffrent in comparison to when i played it on steam a few months ago. But its still tons of fun. I been wanting to play this one on the go.

I wonder why many games use either a low resolution or small font in their text, this makes the game unreadable in a Switch Lite and probably the same in handheld

Like I said its not bad but for me, the visuals definitely made it difficult to enjoy, others might not find them as much of an issue.

@@SwitchStars the games appeal is the comic visuals. It's a big blow to the game in my opinion.

Wish I knew of the poor performance before I bought it. I would’ve gotten it on ps5 instead. Once the hordes become too big, it can really chug sometimes, and the weird transparency on the weapons in the HUD is also weird and I don’t understand why it’s like that on the switch version.

I love Lovecraftian horror so this is right up my alley with the Eldritch spin. I also geew up on the old school shooters like DOOM and Quake so i feel i will be one of the people who like it even with the visuals being Meh.

I can't understand this game, when I get to World 3 it looks so terribly bad that I thought my switch is broken, I'm looking for gameplays to compare and see if it's my Switch or if the game really looks that bad,The game has a lot of good things, for example the OST, but technically it doesn't convince me.
