I can totally feel the son and I couldn't hold my tears when he was sharing his very private situation and thoughts with us. I wish you two the very best! B.t.w Wonderful work Dr. Rahim! You don't just do what you've learned, you're also very empathic and authentic. I love to see people using their talents at the fullest, just like you do. Lots of love ♥️ from Germany!

Forgiveness is a powerful thing. My experience is through my dad. My dad (Nov.1921-Nov.2006) was 20 years old when he was taken prisoner by the Japanese at the fall of Singapore (Feb/15/1942) and was held a P.O.W. until the end of the war in the far east (Sep/02/1945). He rarely talked about the experience and had nightmares and night sweats. I finally got dad to start talking about what had happened around 2001 and over the next couple of years he learned to forgive (but not forget) as we talked things through and the nightmares and sweats eventually reduced from nightly to maybe once a month, sometimes less. He said of the Japanese that not all of the soldiers and officers were evil, in fact, the Korean guards at the Thailand camps were far more brutal. Friends who had known him couldn't believe he had forgiven the Japanese for what had happened or the difference in him in the last few years of his life. So, Dr Rahim, you are right my friend, forgiveness is such a powerful thing.

We can't change what has happened in the past, but we can change he we represent it (the memories)in our minds. The past is over, but we use past memories to ruin the present and future. Forgiving someone doesn't let them "off the hook" for what they did, but it does free you from carrying the pain of the event for the rest of your life.

I feel like I was meant to see this. I've been struggling with some mental and emotional trauma myself. A former supervisor verbally, emotionally, and mentally abused me for 6 months while he was training me. I truly didn't realize what was happening, for me it was a new job at the place I'd worked for 6.5 years so I chalked it all up to stress and anxiety from learning so much. It wasn't until the day he was fired that I realized what had happened. He essentially forced me into a pretty deep depression. I think the depression is mostly gone, but the anxiety that remains is torture. And lately all I feel when I think of him is pure hatred. I know it's not healthy but it's where I'm at in the process. And I too am a Christian but again I just can't see myself forgiving him. But this video has opened my eyes to that. And I will be working to change that. Thank you, Dr. Rahim for not only being a superb doctor, but understanding that pain isn't just physical. You've helped me more than you know after watching this. Thank you for taking such care with this amazing family!

He’s not just a doctor - I just love his ethic, he’s great... I think empathy is a must in the medical industry. I understand what dr rahim is saying about forgiveness... but sometimes it’s impossible and completely out of our control to forgive - as negative as this sounds.

And that your Mama is pain free. I personally know how hard and difficult it is to see your Mom go thru pain and turmoil. But there is true reward in healing and forgiveness! Keep both your heads held high and remember just how truly wonderful the both of you are. I can see the beautiful light and loving energy you radiate! Take care of each other and listen to Dr Rahim not just with the physical aspect but also the emotional as well. God Bless you both!
