Honestly, the conversation between Vincent and Subaru alone could clear a vast majority of other entire series just by itself; one of the best excerpts from any fictional work I've read or seen, ever. The way it reaffirms to Subaru that reaching out your hand, no matter the animosity you feel towards the recipient, is not intrinsically wrong; Vincent's gradual breakdown and understanding of just what it is that he felt so emotional over, the clashing of their respective ways of thinking, it's just fucking fantastic. Personally, for me Vincent has the most engrossing dynamic with Subaru out of all the Arc 7/8 characters. Fantastic vid(or should I say movie?) Asa, the editing, your narration and the imagery you used served the storytelling very well, and it's clear that you put a hell of a lot of effort into this. Good work; it was peak cinema.

If you watch Priscilla's and Subaru's interaction in season 1 of re:zero, she didn't know Appas were red either. It's a really nice way to tie Priscilla and Vincent together as members of an imperial family :)

Fun fact about the ability mentioned by Beatrice at the start: Sacrament of the holy king is an ability from a side story about Ferris and their backstory (you should read re zero ex 1 if you haven't, its an incredible and heart wrenching backstory) + in the original draft of the story, Tappei considered to make Ferris the final boss of the story who revives a zombie army like in Naruto's great shinobi war arc

Jesus the quality that went in this video is amazing, cant wait for the next one, one criticism i would like to add is just that its a bit funny that you try to half act the voice acting in some characters, like you did amazing at portraying how Beatrice sounds like but, but when its a minor character i guess since theres no VA yet its hard to portray the way they speak lol, but honestly every time i read Todd i always hear your voice because it sounds so natural when it comes out, fucking amazing man!

One thing I love about Re:Zero that I don't see people talk about is the beautiful duality of the world. The world itself is vibrant, colourful, and stated explicitly on several occasions to be filled with beautiful characters. It's shining nights are all handsome or beautiful beacons of humanity, all heroes who care for the lives they rescue. It is a literal fantasy world, one of which on the surface, would make for a heaven of an isekai world. Yet right beneath this surface of a gorgeous world is its utter viciousness. The beautiful Else the bowel hunter lives up to her name, leaving blood everywhere she goes. It's great beasts are ferocious monsters who you wouldn't want to be caught alone with. It's beautiful maids can show total brutality when given reason to. It's cute cat spirits are monsters who can end the world. Even its bold, valiant, 'perfect' heroes suffer their own mental turmoil, and as you say in this video, people who should be doing perfect in the world of Re:Zero have more going on in their life than it initially seems. Something about this beautiful, dangerous world really strikes me as an enjoyer of this series. I love how this also translates into its emotions. Re:Zero having some of the most light-hearted slice of life fun, to utter horror in its tense scenes, leading to utter dread and despair and sadness that leaves you crying, only for those to become tears of joy in its sweetest, uplifting moments. At its best, Re:Zero is a masterpiece of how it makes you feel as a reader. It's golden.

I fucking loved everything about Subaru’s fight with Todd, it’s the thing I’ve been looking forward to since they first fucking encountered each other properly and Todd established himself as someone not to be fucked with. The werewolf thing doesn’t take away from their dynamic at all, Todd and Subaru are still both 2 ordinary people in an insane world fighting to the fucking death whether they like it or not. Personally, I also just think it makes him more badass - he’s a damn WEREWOLF! I take back what I’d just edited out, the ending for the fight against Todd was perfect as well. It ended the way it did because Subaru wasn’t able to get the outcome he wanted against Todd, unlike with the times against Garfiel and Betelgeuse. There was no satisfaction to be had, because Todd’s death was the exact thing that Subaru was trying to avoid. Their fight feels unfinished, half baked, and that’s because it was. Subaru didn’t win that fight, not because he couldn’t beat Todd, but because he couldn’t save him Still an amazing fight and one of my favorite moments so far.

I’m just glad Todd didn’t come back because this bastard has been a major pain in the ass sense his character was introduced and the way he went out was the living definition of irony. He uses people as pawns to benefit him and get the results he wants and when the person he should have gotten on his side and said person he knows full well has a better understanding of this man better than anyone he goes and attacks him.
