Beautifully said. That s so important. It s very hard for me cause im little hard of hearing ,and it s always the same problem with a lot of people. They whisper, they show u false compassion,Just to avoid me, ilarity,they scream and get angry when is asked to repeat.. but i cant beg for thei kindness all the time..even at the hospital,school, bank ,market everywhere.. ill no longer be' a victim, no Anger anymore. So detatched now , But at peace. I went trough spiritual awakening cause of this. But there s still a lot of work to do and im safe now, being vulnerable. But what a fucking hard life .

i'm so glad i've found this channel. i'm the kind of person to always make sure that people learn from their mistakes. i lose sleep thinking about how they could improve and what they should do and what i would have done if i were them. when i see wrong, i have to make it right. it is liberating to know that i don't exactly have to do that. they'll learn when it's their time to learn. if they don't, not my problem. not my responsibility.

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve listened to this video & I get something different out of it every time. I have struggled to forgive someone for a very long time but this video & a few of your others, have helped me immensely. I think forgiveness & letting go can be one of the hardest things to do. You explain things so clearly. Thank you xx

Yes, I think I get it now. I needed the longer explanation. I loved the water hose analogy. I’ve heard it as what you focus on grows. I think the process of having compassion for the person and their background and struggles really helps. I know when I’m loving and kind to those people, I receive their gifts and when I’m closed up or angry or when I focus on what they did to me, they can feel it and withdraw and I’m just stewing in my resentment. It only makes me more isolated and alone, so I’ve been focusing on the positive and letting go. Thank you!!!

Thank you so much for the helpful mindset. I've been struggling with this for two years, knowing that the key to peace and freedom is through forgiveness but not being able to truly forgive and let go even with prayer and meditation and Journaling, etc. So tired of hanging on to the pain. I believe I am closer to the only solution, which you have helped to lead me through the process. I do experience moments of freedom and peace and desire it greatly. Thank you again. I will listen again as needed. Judy

So this video really helped me. I have been dealing with some difficult feelings around how some of my friends had treated me in the past, and an incident that happened recently. And this last incident has sent me down this very interesting self-improvement road. I am a Christian, and I feel like the church as a whole obviously puts a big emphasis on forgiveness but there is almost always some strings attached to it. Like the idea that forgiveness means you need to forget or that it's in some way saying that what happened was ok. And I've never agreed with these statements (and this is not what the Bible teaches, this is what the Church teaches) and I think that's why I've had such a hard time forgiving in the past. These two friends are also Christians and frankly they have treated me worse than my non Christian friends ever would. I think that is also why I've held on to the hurt for way way too long is because I assumed that because they are fellow Christians that they should know better... But like you said they don't seem to be "awake". I like that term. To make a long story short, I have been looking inward a lot at my own actions and choosing to focus on how to improve my life and that seems to consistantly point at choosing to no longer associate with these two women. But I honestly feel like I've forgiven them finally, but have chosen not to "forget" by not allowing this toxic behaivor to be in my life anymore. It's sad, but also very freeing! Thank you for sharing some wise words to live by.

While my experiences are likely minor compared to others, for over 40 years I have carried the burden of unforgiveness towards the childhood bully who tormented me for years. For almost five years, I’ve carried the burden of unforgiveness toward the corporate bully (and others) who repeatedly stabbed me in the back until I was pushed out of my job - and he boasted about it afterwards. And for most of my life I’ve carried regret for more things than I can count and unforgiveness toward myself for the most major of those offenses. I think I understand what you are saying. I am really struggling with how to actually do it. I carry a lot of sadness about the things I have done while those other guys have just gone skating along. I really struggle with that. This is a very challenging topic for me, and based on the other comments it seems like I am the only one who can’t figure this out. That frustrates me even more and adds to the load. I hope I can make peace with this. While I know this is not a religious video, the Our Father prayer asks for forgiveness of our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us, and quite frankly, those words scare me if I can’t figure out how to set this burden down and forgive those who have trespassed against me, myself included. Be well.

Hi Rich, rest assured you're definitely not the only one who is on the journey to find a fit with forgiveness. It's a really BIG DEAL for so many people, and there is no "minor" anything when it comes to feeling harmed, hurt, targeted, bullied or otherwise. That is a big deal and all your feelings are so valid and warranted. Just the very fact that you are even watching a forgiveness video and want to forgive is incredible and a testament to your character and a sign of where you're at on a journey of evolving and having more peace. I hope the resources here continue to be a small part of a bigger picture to help you find peace. With much love, Bx

Question- so I understood everything that you said about forgiveness. What if the person that wronged you expects and guilts you for not reconciling and going back to the way things were/ accuse you of not forgiving them? Please explain how to deal with that.
@Bernadette_Logue4 жыл бұрын
Hi, I totally hear you. The forgiveness you process toward another is your own process, and something you do to free yourself. What they want and what they expect and how they choose to then behave isn't something you can control and also is something they are responsible for. Just because we forgive someone does not mean that the relationship repairs and goes back to "normal". It is totally okay to forgive to be free, and to move forward in your life without that person. Forgiveness is a healing. Then a choice is made as to what the relationship might look like in future, same, different or not a relationship at all. It is down to each individual unique person and situation as to what feels right and healthy and good. We learn in life that we cannot live for other people's expectations, we must listen to our own hearts and make choices that are heart aligned. That won't always meet the needs or likes of other people. With much love, B

Thanks very much for taking the time doing this video for everyone who needs it as much as I and I can relate but its sometimes hard to forget the past hurt when it its a family member like a brother or whoever for this matter! I forgive and can say it works to set you free for sure. I would like to email my brother saying forgive you and see where it goes and my dad to set me free more. I feel i need to do that step! Im not sure does that normally help with it or gives out more hurt to yourself? I been in no contact with my brother in two years. Who made no effort in coming close with me in the first place. A long story in that situation and with sister in law as well! Its been for us i believe two years.How I go about writing this and any tips? Hopefully I can hear from you soon thanks very much! Sorry to ask this lol Hope all is well! You speak very clear and so compassion may I add!! God bless! :) :)

I understand all that she said intellectually. It's going to take something outside of cognition to be able to free me. Currently I'm working on body work, because I have come to realize the trauma is still in my muscle memory. So not to disparage the video blogger at all, I'm just saying that for some people who don't feel success with this method, you might want to try body work, or NLP, or EMDR, or as someone mentions below EFT and that person gives their website. Much love & luck to all!
@Bernadette_Logue5 жыл бұрын
Hi Kat, yes I definitely recommend EFT (tapping) for what you've mentioned here as indeed our bodies can hold emotional energy and releasing this is part of the healing process. For instances of trauma that haven't been previously addressed, it's wise to do guided tapping with a professional as often it can be daunting with knowing where to start or how to work through it alone, and big emotions can come up for release so it's often super helpful to have 1:1 care available during that time if feasible. Sending warmest wishes! Bernadette

Thank you for your message, and I send so much love to you for all you've been through. And with something so deeply traumatic, as I'm sure only you know as the person who has had to go through this, before even getting to forgiveness, all the feelings, trauma, pain, fear, grief, loss, etc that comes with something this intense all needs to be processed before the idea of forgiveness may be possible or even appropriate. I wish that peace and support and comfort wraps around you. Love, B

Can you please explain that , how to know whether i was really responsible for something i am guilty about ?. Can you please elaborate more on how to forgive ourselves as forgiving others is much more easier than forgiving ourselves ? Thank you so much for such an insightful vedio ...✨☺️
@Bernadette_Logue4 жыл бұрын
Hey. It's not easy black and white to answer the Q about "am I really responsible for X thing I feel guilty about". We are responsible for our own choices and actions, yet can end up feeling guilty in situations that don't warrant it. If you practice meditation that can help to connect more closely with inner knowing, which may help to answer the Q. The key focus I suggest is where the feeling of guilt is present, we want to release and have freedom either way. I do recommend EFT/tapping for this as it's very helpful for emotional healing and freedom. 💜

@@anishamaheshwari You just need to be truthful to yourself. Confess to the people involved and accept the consequences and try to repair wat is broken and be a support if they accept your apology. If they don't accept you have done wat you could. Tell yourself you learned from it and stop doing it. Focus on the future and the good you can do.
