I've owned a 71 SS since 89, still matching numbers. Parked it in 91, and dug it out during covid with the intention of a father son project. To my surprise my step daughter who hates getting dirty is the one who's elbow deep in the dirt and grime with me. The boy still thinks he's getting it at 16. He's not, my step daughter will recieve it when she's 16.

Man this car brings back memories, I was born in '83 and in '90 my dad came home with a black cherry w/ black interior '70 Monte with a 454, a little rough around the edges but a real asphalt stomper. I got to drive it a few times to high school before I bought an '84 regal as my first car. Eventually it got to the point it was ready for a full resto and he was recently remarried and had a new child on the way at 43 so he sold it in '07 to a guy for a man and his 14 y/o daughter as a first car project, I still see it from time to time at the local cruise ins and while no longer a daily driver she still has it now at nearly 30 years old.

I was 17 in 1971 and I remember my first sighting of a 71 forest green BB MC. It was in the parking lot of a IGA. I peeked in to see that horse shoe auto shifter and dark green buckets with a walnut trim dash. It was mouth watering. And, 71 was the last year of compression engines. in 72 they were all 8-9.1 and the muscle era was over.

Great video guys . Monte Carlo is a small Principality in the South of France on the Mediterranean coast. It’s a very wealthy state . Loads of multi million dollar super yachts in the harbour. At the end of may the great and the very rich descend there for the oldest race on the Formula 1 calendar. Basically if full of rich folk with far too much disposable income .

It's amazing how quickly Tire smoke turns into smiles! I used to work at a shop and at the end of the day I would put worn out tires on the back of my 442 and go out with some friends and burn the tires-off it. Then the next day I put the regular tires back on and drive it like a normal person. Good memories! Thanks, Bob from Virginia USA

Money and time. My father always loved his 65 impala but between raising 2 kids, fixing on the house, and working full time, it’s often hard to come up with money or time to put into an old project car, and when the time comes that you either have some money, or some time, it seems you only ever have one, and not the other. You either have the money but don’t have the time it takes, or you have the time but no longer have the money. Life just gets in The way

Well just blew the tires off through the first 3 gears flat footing it and doing Dulcitch style power shifts. Just let's you know what they built them to do. And yes. New to the channel, but loving it...and must say first video to see ya and one of my top 5 favorite cars! The 70 is my favorite but 71 is very similar! Buddy had one and the room under the hood could fit 2 engines! Lol. Can't say exactly what it is about this style Monte but it's just absolutely sexy to my eyes anywho! Looking forward to watching more of ur content, keep it up!
