I never think about my car before I leave on a long vacation. I never look at everything that might go wrong with it. That’s just how I am.

If you are reading this Dalton thank you for your continued entertainment and inspiration and knowledge, you help a person like me with OCD and anxiety find a way to enjoy cars in a more care free kind of way, I own a 1994 Mitsubishi 3000gt that's perfect and rustless and it always throws problems at me but ive learnt to just not care anymore thanks to you

Some years before Dad gave it to me, the '59 "Squarebird" was our family car. It had those Gawd-awful vacuum wipers too. We climbed Pike's Peak in that thing, in the days when the roads were barely a lane wide, and had nothing or only pathetic protection from the cliffs off the side of the road. They always seemed to be on the passenger side, where Mom was pissing herself in terror. The more the 352 motor struggled lugging up the hill, the more ridiculously sluggish the wipers were, and the harder it rained. How Dad got that thing up there and back without us all dying is a testament to the Man he was.

Your trip reminds me of a trip my dad I did from NJ to Texas and back in our 1977 Nova. His garage was very similar to yours and used to do projects like you do with you son all the time with him.

*Roadtrip* !! So excited, especially since I wasn't physically with you on this trip.. Which although I haven't made it but 20 minutes into the video, doesn't sound like it was trouble free, but hey at least you can look back and laugh. Hopefully this has prepared you mentally for Power Tour. Also I really hope you're able to repeat this formula with other cars. A fun video idea would be "Driving A Pontiac To Pontiac" making the pilgrimage to Pontiac Michigan in an actual Pontiac, selling it and buying another Pontiac to drive home

The radiator cap isn't the highest point of the cooling system, so, it'll never run at 100% capacity and will always have an air bubble in it. There's your problem.
