It would be interesting if Quaker Puffed cereals was a sponsor for Bewitched. Because that one tie in to the Thanksgiving episode when Aunt Clara zaps them into Pilgrim times would make more sense when Darren tells the men how hungry he was because he had only eaten "puff-ed rice" that day for breakfast! Haha! Team Flakes was a favorite cereal in my house from Nabisco! It boasted a combination of corn, wheat, oats and rice! It was not supposed to get soggy in milk! My home was also a mostly General Mills cereal house because my mom collected the Betty Crocker points coupons on the boxes along with the ones that came on Gold Metal Flour! One of my favorite GM cereals was Buc Wheat Flakes with the "snap" of maple flavor!

Fascinating look at some of the great cereals from the past! Really do love watching videos about cereal and I certainly enjoyed watching this one! The cereal I would have loved to try is the Count Down cereal!

I do not recall Post Count Off; it was never sold in St. Louis, to my knowledge. Crispy Critters had a run in the 1980s, but without the sugar frosting (which means my daughters and I both had a chance to eat them!) Ship Shake seems to be a take on Carnation Instant Breakfast and/or Brim (which was an instant breakfast food sold in the mid-1960s)...While Diet Frosted cereals were never advertised on the air, they were among "the growing family of products of the Quaker Oats Company" which co-sponsored "Bewitched" in its earliest seasons (as depicted by Elizabeth Montgomery in the earliest print ads!)

I was 12 in 1960. I remember a couple of those cereals though we were a Cheerios family. I also recall the "Diet Frosted" cereals. Even then I couldn't figure how something coated with sugar could be a diet food.

I loved OKs, Kelloggs' version of General Mills' Cheerios. They tasted much better than Cheerios. It was disconintued in the 60s or 70s. Walmart used to sell a cereal that tasted just like OKs called Great Value Organic Toasted Oats, but that's unavailable now, too.

1:07- Post cereals {from General Foods} sponsored "THE BUGS BUNNY SHOW" in prime-time on ABC (1960-'62). Bugs and his "Looney Tunes" friends promoted most of their cereals- and Tang Instant Breakfast Drink- in integrated commercials during the show. Post figured that, as Kellogg's did with Huckleberry Hound, Yogi Bear and Quck Draw McGraw, perhaps placing Bugs' picture on the "Top 3" box could boost sagging sales in 1961. It really didn't.....and "Top 3" was discontinued in 1962. Count Off wasn't successful, either. 2:46- Crispy Critters was finally discontinued by 1969, because "LINUS THE LIONHEARTED", a cartoon show featuring Linus and his Post cereal friends on CBS and ABC from 1964 through '69, was forced off the air because of pressure from parents groups whio claimed that "LINUS" was just one big commercial for Post cereals......and the FCC insisted cartoon characters hosting their own programs could not appear in commercials for their sponsor's products during the same program. That also eliminated the other characters from various Post boxes....and cereals featuring them also disappeared {the only one that was "Sugar Bear" on the Super Crisp [later "Super Sugar Crisp]}.

Yes, with one of her "Oh My Stars!" expressions. Remember, Quaker Oats and Chevrolet co-sponsored the first several seasons of "Bewitched." One of the early print ads had a plug for "Bewitched" in the fine print at the bottom of the ad
