Hi Gayle! Been a bit busy lately, but have been watching much of what you've posted. I've tried to write, but get interrupted by either my hubby or a task. Hopefully, I'll get to post this. 😆 I like how you're going through papers and doing pre-preps for journals. I especially like seeing the Williamsburg paper. It brings back memories of when I lived and taught high school in VA. That was from 2005-2012. I was a single lady then...was for about 10 years...a lonely time, but I filled my time with photography. Which also helped me do a lot of self reflection. So, a growing time emotionally. I was also blessed that my daughter and her new family lived a half hour away and they would visit or me them. But still, the alone times could be tough sometime. But then I became a member of an online photography forum Through that I met a group of delightful ladies who lived in the Williamsburg area. We met up one day at a gardens in Richmond for a day of photographing together. What fun we had! After that, one of the ladies would on occasion invite me to spend a few days with her at her home. Then, we would get together with the the rest of the ladies and go all over the many places, mostly historical, in the Williamsburg area. Our most fun time was before Christmas. Williamsburg decorates the colonial town up pretty nicely for that event. They are especially well known for their beautiful natural wreathes on all of the buildings. Some are quite unique and fun to photograph. Our group would have a blast! Those ladies were so kind to me. It really helped me get through those years when I ran solo in life. I still miss them and our get togethers. The chicken paper reminds me of my daughter. For years she wanted backyard chickens. They finally moved to a place where she could have them. Then, after many dozens of produced eggs, she discovered she was allergic to eggs. She was not happy about that as she loves her chickens. So funny...yesterday, my hubby and I were driving and he suddenly asked me if I could choose where I'd want to be right at that moment. I said Newfoundland to visit my family there. And he said he wanted to be in Helena MT. We still want to live there, if only for the summer months. We keep hoping real estate prices will go down and maybe we'd get a piece of land to put a few RV sites on. For us and family. I don't think we could live full time there due to my spine issues now. But summers might be feasible. Who knows, we keep looking. I hope your day is going well so far. God bless you and Mr. A! BIG hug! Sue ❤

Fun papers. I think I have some posters stashed away somewhere. Dealing with curled paper is frustrating. I flatten it by misting the back with water and placing between two pieces of paper, either blotter paper or cheap watercolor paper, then placing a couple of large coffee table books on top. I let it dry a couple of days. Just don’t do it with pre-pasted wall paper! Or you could do that if you lay it on plastic wrap or want to glue it to a backing paper.

Watching you on this video tonight and I was looking at these incredible rolls of paper and wondering where they came from. So I picked up my phone to write a message to ask you when lo and behold, you said, “You might ask where I got these paper, well I don’t know, I don’t know.” My husband was watching something else when I burst out laughing out loud!” Of course he wanted to know what was so funny and I had to tell him. I though it was hilarious, he didn’t even laugh!” Can you imagine that? Good ideas if I can I can only find some kind of paper I like even half as much as that!

I may love FFF more than SS. A revival of Tuesday Use Day might be in order, only make it Use It Up Tuesday. I get sort of frustrated when useful bits are put back to languish in a corner again, so if I go to all the trouble to pull something out, I use it all up. The satisfaction of using something up is so wonderful!

Last week I bought some ʻfancyʻ paper like yours, then found some at home. So, I made a few pages with new and old friends! I am so pleased to see how you use it - so many more ideas (and yours always look much better than mine). To cut, I used my big quilterʻs ruler and my really tiny rotary cutter, stuff from both worlds. Thanks for the inspiration.

Good morning Gayle! 💕 Looking at my stash of forgotten wallpaper and wrapping papers (now scattered in the floor in my hallway) I’m beginning to wonder if playing along with ‘forgotten friends’ thing is such a good idea. 🤣 I am joking of course! I got rid of a couple of those old Cavallini posters and now I’m sorry I did. But I do have a vintage camera one that I plan to use. I see them in like the fancy paper shops, places like Papyrus and gift shops, bookstores often have them. Mine came from a store that was called University Art which then became Utrecht which then became Dick Blick so I’m gonna guess that Dick Blick still might carry Cavallini.
