I have a feeling that this is all going on inside Corrupted Twilight's head. What's left of her subconscious is stuck fighting the darkness. Even though her body is now taken over and acting on it's own, her spirit still remains intact fighting for control over her body. Now she has two choices, to either fight for friendship like she always has or succumb to the darkness like all those before her.
