I'm a non traditional college student, studying accounting. I'm currently a senior. (Who cares, right?) Anyway, I'm in a business ethics class that requires analysis and presentations on cases that's done in groups. One of my group members said something like, "I always ramble on or don't say enough and can't quite figure how to strike a good balance. Got any advice?" I showed this person your channel and said "I don't care if you like video games or care about them, this guy is a great presenter. You should listen to him." (Our class meets once a week). Saw that person today, and she said to me after class, I shit you not, "Like hey, do you know what emulation is, like how it works or how to do it? Like, I want to try some of the stuff in those videos I saw, but those old games are expensive, but I saw emulation or something...?" I'm like thinking... Uh..."So watching the videos helped you with presenting then? "Oh yea! He's awesome! But, you know anything about emulation or whatever?" Bro... You ruined my group member I think 😆 Have a great rest of your day!

Heck yeah, I found that Nintendo Power issue at a friend's house one day and really wanted to find out more about this game. I fell in love with it through emulation, and I actually started trying to learn Japanese to figure out what to do when a puzzle would stump me. I picked it up again recently when I learned about the translation patch, and finally beat the game. Definitely a worthwhile experience.

just finished this about three months ago, a wonderful treat for someone who's been replaying LTTP for 20 years. don't know if i'm the only one who had 3 or 4 "where tf do i go now?" moments in the game but they were real downers, though the only kind the game offered. not even really puzzle solutions just gaps in obvious progression. thought i should mention as a warning to others but besides this, super addictive storytelling of the highest order.

I do remember seeing that game in that issue of Nintendo Power. It did surprise me a bit that the game wasn't released in the U.S. since the character names and artwork look like they would appeal to western audiences. Maybe if the game was made sooner it could have been released in the U.S.

Another great review. I know you tend to stay in the 16-bit genre, but I've wondered if you've ever played the PS1 game, Alundra. It's very much a spiritual successor to Landstalker, but plays more like A Link to the Past. It's a phenomenal game that really looks like it belongs on the SNES, which is how I first found it. Check it out.

Hey Snes Drunk, I love your content! I was wondering if we can expect a Super Famicom RPGs part 6? You could do for example Dragon Quest I & II, Dragon Quest III (the Super Famicom ports), Magical Land of Wozz, Tengai Makyou Zero, Ancient Magic, Adventures of Hourai High, Dark Law ~ Meaning of Death, Metal Max Returns; there's a ton of them out there. Also, a video on the three Super Famicom Fire Emblem games? I joked earlier in the year that you'd be done with the entire SNES library by the end of the year, but there are a ton of games, especially Japanese games, that you have yet to cover.
