Love love love this game! I've been recommending it and been telling funny stories (trying to be spoiler free) from it to family and friends. Keep reading if you want to get a taste of what playing the game is like. *Minor spoilers below, side stories. NOT any major story points* My wife raided an enemy ship on the back of a hangry hippo, I accidentally killed a whale (yeah... my bad. In my defense, we got a lot of food from it), and my 10 year old daughter took out an entire enemy ship and crew by herself (also somewhat accidentally...). She was trying to damage them with an explosive of some sort and it, well, critical success. That was just a SMALL sample of the manystories that came up during gameplay. I don't want to say much more to avoid accidentally spoiling something major. I will say this though: If you chuckled some while reading that, order this game. You'll have a great time. If you thought that was annoying and stupid... well, maybe find something else that's more to your tastes.

Looks great, though probably won't be getting it myself- I love campaign games in concept, but I never actually seem to see them through to the end.

Yeah, this isn't so much a campaign, as it is a game with multiple scenarios you can play. You can play a single scenario in one long sitting, or in a couple smaller two-hour chunks.

I have no interest in non optional board game apps, give me a storybook everytime. If i want digital then i will play a video game, i play and collect board games for the physical components. This trend where board games have apps might make me leave the hobby altogether if it gets too popular. So we call these app required games "board games" but at what point do we start calling them video games with physical components? Board Games + Apps = Trash

I remember when they took horse carriages and put an engine inside of them. Awful! I don't know why they keep putting apps with board games. Dang foolhardy !
