Looks like a blast, reminds me of the March and Shoot we used to do in the British Army, 5 mile run, 25 obstacle assault course and then a shoot. I ended up in my Company team, it really was about fitness, the fitter you are the quicker your breathing returns to normal and the better your shooting is. I think you did well. If I had one piece of advice I'd look at how your kit is bouncing about on your body, I always made sure that mine was secure and comfortable, stops rubbing and is just easier to move about especially when going from prone to standing or climbing in and out of an APC.

This looked even more fun than yesterday. I was impressed by how your running times actually improved after "warm up". I can imagine this 2-day challenge leaves you really really exhausted, thoroughly drained. Frankly it sort of reminds of battle training camps in military, just more intense and more stuff, less resting times. You did fantastic in all these stages, especially the spinner training reaps rewards. You didn't even seem stressed out about the spinners and cleared them with intent. Watching these and the gun reviews on utreon made me realize a couple of big shortcomings in its service to take over youtube. The audio tracks are entirely different sounding, despite youtube compressing them a ton, it still sounds better on youtube. And on utreon you can't watch on higher than 480p without signing up. Not a big deal if you're ready to commit to the service already, but it certainly doesn't attract someone who is not yet decided and just checks out what's offered.

That's my favorite "space pen/pencil" story.* We spent millions designing MRAPs you can't see out of, that tend to roll over on Afghan terrain. The Soviets just rode on top of the vehicle. You hit a mine, it guts the troop compartment and... you hop off the roof and carry on. *Yeah, the space pen thing is fake: It wasn't designed on the government dollar, and NASA used pencils too, but there are problems with pencils, like conductive graphite shavings floating around in microgravity, and pencil writing tending to smudge, and so on. IIRC Roskosmos is very happy to use space pens these days.

@@trioptimum9027 Ahh, 'bout that "hit a mine, hop off and carry on" part, um... there's a few UKR clips that say differently. Ones where the bad hombres on top go off in six different directions at 150 miles an hour before landing in soggy piles against farmhouse walls. Not pretty.

It helps breaking it up into 2 mile increments (1.86 to be exact) bit still . . . I toy with the idea of trying something like that, but unfortunately, running put my knees on notice many years ago.
