Forkner - Past performance is a good indicator of future performance. He may win a race, but he won't finish a series. If Triumph hires him for $250,000 a year, with bonuses, they want to buy a win, not a title. That's an expensive win. Maybe they are willing to spend all that money hoping that a win will lead to sales: Win on Sunday, sell on Monday. I'm not sure that is true anymore, though.

I used to be a member of SMDR. Great club. Back in the day we worked direct with Beasley (Budds track owner) to flag. The deal then was that we got 6 ride days where we were able to ride the track and connected harescramble course. It was awesome. We flagged amatuer day and the national as well as an MXGP or two. We took great pride in our flagging. We even had a club training course we went through to flag. We also had members with radios who went around the track and made sure everyone was in position like they should be. That all changed when MX Sports came along and changed the deal. They tried to do it on their own but it didn't quite work out. Now they have worked a deal with the club. Left the club when I moved away but miss riding with those guys.

The natural outcome was success. Chris, keep at it. The respect will come as these assholes reveal themselves. Maybe a sneak video leaked of DC partying it up might rattle him up a bit.

I’m all for guys getting theirs in this industry that chews riders up and spits them out without a second thought, BUT Mitch and PC have been the exception to that rule with how they’ve stood by AF despite his constant catastrophic accidents…and it’s because of that that I think it would be a really slimy move to jump over to Triumph just for some extra dough. Of course there could be things going on behind the scenes at PC regarding AF that we don’t know about that is forcing his hand. Also AF could just have some built up baggage with the brand after so much bad luck that he wants to get away from. But if it’s just the bigger pay day, I still say it’s slimy.
