If it gets as far north as North Carolina, there's a place on the Outer Banks called Nag's Head because the Outerbankers used to hang a lantern around a nag's neck and walk her up and down the coast, luring ships to founder on the sandbanks and shoals. Once a ship had run aground, it was legally considered salvage and the Bankers could pick the ship and her cargo clean. It's just one small piece of why the Outer Banks are the Graveyard of the Atlantic. So many ships have sunk there that the locals figured out how to turn that into a way of life. Remember, Russia: Germany tried sneaking their U-boats up and down the East Coast, too, and that didn't end well for them, either.

Grandpa BUFF reminds me of my grandpa. Italian here, just to clarify: Leonardo is the manifacturer, the helicopter is actually named AW249, and will be called AH-249A NEES "Fenice" once it starts rolling. NEES stands for Nuovo Elicottero da Esplorazione e Scorta (New Helicopter for Exploration and Escort), AH stands for Attack Helicopter and Fenice is "Phoenix" in italian

We get pretty much everything from US military suppliers anyway, with the occasional German and British systems.
