Love bow ties, as a physician it comes natural! There is also a single end bow tie, for a formal less bulky look. I cringe everytime I see an adult wear a pre-tied one. We need more men wearing bowties, patterned ones can elevate a casual outfit to an altogether new level. Thanks for the video.

Thanks for the comment, Ankur. I feel like there are bow tie guys and guys that just don't feel comfortable. I'm somewhere in between. Not a full-on bow tie guy, but maybe every once in a while.

Nice detailed video never really knew there were that many different types of bow tie,not that i wear them but thank you and in the unlikely event i get married or invited to a swanky black tie event i will bear this video in mind.Looking forward to your Q and A Sunday have a nice weekend sir.

@@hespokestyle you, sir, on the other hand, seem to be able to rock all kinds of bow ties with style. Takes someone special to be able to do that. Another man-style youtuber that seem to be able to rock almost all kinds of style is Marcel Floruss. But he's more towards the hybrid of street + dapper and he's more 'fashion forward'...

What a great subject. I’m completely unintelligent with bow ties. Just, great work! Can you talk about men jewelry? Ring, bangles, necklaces, and bracelets. Feel free to throw some watches in their too. I appreciate you reading the comments. 🤙🏼
@hespokestyle6 жыл бұрын
Definitely a lot of watch stuff coming up, including a watch collection video. Probably not going to cover man jewelry except maybe signet rings. Try to get back to everyone that comments with class. 😉

I agree, there is just something effortlessly cool about untying your bow tie at the end of the night and walking around with it untied.

Could you go more into detail why the bow tie fabric has to be the same as the suit fabric? For symmetry? Thanks!

Not really much to it other than cohesion--it just looks good when they match.

My wedding is a very formal event and I’m torn on bow tie style. Big might be too much, but modified butterfly doesn’t have that statement the big does. Is big considered more for events rather than weddings? I were a tux to charitable events and have a much smaller tie
@windsurfredbull11113 жыл бұрын
Thank you great video. Well I’m just starting to get into some bowties I had three different velvet double breasted blazer’s made black/ silver gray/ and a garnet red. I’m a little north of Boston and the dress code has seriously dropped off. These are technically smoking jackets that I will wear with a bow tie. Clearly less formal than a real black tie outfit but will still stand out here as classy.. I will really only wear these when I go to a high-end steakhouse in the evening. May be breaking some hardliner dress code rules but I don’t go to real tuxedo events. This is more of a fun thing as the whole thing has been a bit of a hobby of mine. I often just wear a double breasted suit for dinner but I thought the bow tie would be fun to try out with once in a while. Gives the blazers a touch of elegance I think..

Thanks for the comment! Yes, same rules apply to casual bows as well.

I'm afraid that it was Daniel Craig who wore the first Diamond Point in a James Bond movie. Sean Connery actually wore a straight (a.k.a. Batwing) bow tie in Dr. No. The photo of Sean Connery you showed has a shadow that makes the end look pointed. But if you watch Dr. No, he's definitely wearing a Batwing (a.k.a. straight). Otherwise, this is a very good video.
