What a powerful interview. I can relate the pressure from Asian communities. The fact that Justin wasnt in the right place at 16 and obviously knows so much better now, the older heads still see him as if he's still 16. They wont even bother to ask questions to see if he grew out of this. I feel you Justin. I never banged but the pressure is real and relatable.

not just koreans and chinese... all asians will have their native name and their american name... but this is usually for asians that were born in the US. asians that migrated here will usually just have their native name... and then once they get to the US, they see that americans have a hard time pronouncing their names, so that's why they come up with an american name to make it more easier on everyone else.

I grew up when the Asian Boyz, and all'a them gangbanging shit in LA was on its highest level. I was taxed, bullied and picked on by my own Koreans all cuz I wasn't the strongest, and was probably went through the lowest time of my life. Your story and the years you've spent behind bars reminded me of the foo that used to bully me and even spat on my face, and all the painful old days that I hated so much but its all past now. Huge respect for your courage to speak to the public about the darkest and painful past, and really using the years behind bars to educate yourself. That's seriously a huge accomplishment in life to even get a college degree so to speak. Hope your residency status gets fixed and be given another chance to possibly live your dreams man. Lucky great job❕ Justin thank you for sharing your interview with the world! 🌎 While I was lock up in Arizona State Prison, I had a Asian homie & over here Asian's run with us Mexican Americans. He look out for me when my family was struggling during my sentence with food & hygiene. If it wasn't for "Q" my Vietnamese homie who knows what I would've done to survive while incarcerated. But like how Justin mentioned it we come from similar backgrounds. Justin your past life mistakes where similar like ours just looking for good homies and acceptance from others. I felt your pain and regret, I really hope you don't get deported. I would like to help you from not getting deported just let me know how? Even if it's writing a letter or a phone call to whoever, I'm in Phoenix Arizona. Thanks again, Justin and Lucky for this great interview❕ PS, Lucky I didn't get my high school diploma until I was 35 yrs old as well in the Arizona Deportment of Corrections❕ On a on-line computer❕🥳
