Generally speaking there is no real straightforward answer to this question. It really depends if the student is time efficient and is able to balance both work and studies. It will also depend on the student's school and class schedule, plus how much the host family is asking you to work. I personally believe if you want something bad enough, you will not let anything get in the way but if you want the process to go a bit smoother definitely take these factors into consideration. My shirt I bought from Pacsun it is a store in the US. and my necklace was from a a small jewelry stand here in Paris :)
