Loved hearing about Brian helping Rachel with her hair. I’m a black woman & my boyfriend is mexican. He helps me take down my braids, comb out my natural hair and even greases my scalp. While i’ve dated within my race and outside of it before, he’s the only guy to ever experience that side of me. It’s so nice being able to be your natural self around someone who genuinely loves you no matter what. So happy for Rachel and Brian! I wish you guys all the love and success

Rachael Is a smart and beautiful woman, however my opinion of her changed after the backlash she gave to Chis Harrison the host of The Bachelor, she knew before the show that she was going to corner him with questions and answers. in my opinion Chris did nothing wrong, he tried to stay medium between her and the contestant in question on the show being aired at the time. Yes we get it about BLM and racism, er don't need it to be taped to our foreheads everytime we turn around on the show. There are beautiful women of all races on the show that are deserving of being gorgeous contestants and to have Chis Harrison taken down and pressured to leave the show because he was looking out for one of the contestants is totally wrong! I think by doing what she did only decreased her popularity.

I wish both well. But if this was a brotha talking about marrying his white wife. I don't think it would be well received. A lot of folks are using a serious conversation to hide their insecurities. If you knock black men for doing it you can't do jumping Jack's when black women do it. All that tells me is that you don't really have integrity to your argument and you don't really care about black people. You're just out here for you. Which is fine. Just don't be a hypocrite.

I know it SOUNDS like hypocrisy to you but it really isn’t! It’s so nuanced, bc the truth is bw hold out as long as they can to find their black knight, brotha, after brotha, after brotha. Most give up and remain single, but every so often you receive an offer from across the aisle and you think what the heck and it works! Rachel was 30 something and it was her white gf’s who wrote her in to be a Cast member of The Bachelor!! It WAS NOT HER IDEA! If you saw her Season, Bryan and her just made sense. So we shouldn’t be happy for her??? Why NOT??? She honestly tried and this was her person! And you know what? She has never said one Ill thing about a brotha… NOT ONE! I observed the same thing with Serena Williams… one failed relationship after another, then she meets Alexis Ohanian, marriage, baby, retirement, happy life! They honestly tried with brothas to no avail! They’re married they’re happy…. Why NOT be happy for them???

@@Warrior-Princess that response just sounds like a whole lot of deflection. Which is what hypocrites do. Look. I'm not out here against her marriage. I'm actually for it. But what I'm not for is someone in her marriage dogging or knocking other black men who are also in a interracial marriage. Because those men might have had the same situation. It might have just worked for him. What I see a lot of (and black men do this also) is people only get mad, forgive, or are ok with things that they identify with. So for example. When a black woman sees another black man with a white woman. She judges him. She judges his situation. She makes all kinds of assumptions and stereotypes. She basically does white behavior towards black people. But when she sees a black woman in the same situation. She's celebrating. She's making excuses. She's condoning it. Which in reality tells me this. Your arguments and grievances aren't about the behavior or choices. It's about WHO'S doing the behavior or making the choices. And thats not nuanced sis. That's hypocrisy. And you know what. Thats fine. Humans are hypocrites. What's not fine is when you make a Bible verse long comment trying to claim its not.

@@anthonygraham8122 Well sir, I hear a whole lot of anger coming from your statements and truthfully, I get it. And I can even agree with some of the points you’ve made. But at the same time I was trying to give you another perspective. We’re not going to be able to solve in our posts all the damage that WS has inflicted upon a whole group of ppl. So much so, the whole black community appears to be suffering from an autoimmune disease - destroying itself internally. So, I prefer to not add to the injury by understanding that we’re all trying to live a “Best Life” within an environment that has tried MANY WAYS to destroy us all. And destroying the black family is just one more way in which these measures are being accomplished. I did not set these forces in motion and I think we could ALL BENEFIT from while we forgive EVERY OTHER NATION for the atrocities committed against BP and I think of Botham Jean’s brother who FORGAVE Amber Guyger.. let’s find some compassion, forgiveness and understanding in our hearts for one another! We can start there.
@anthonygraham81222 жыл бұрын
@@Warrior-Princess again deflection. There wasn't anything I said that can be attributed to anger. I didn't use name calling. I didn't dog out any particular group. I stated observations that's commonly done in our community. What's funny is. You just accused me of being angry (a common tactic people use to deflect from their failing argument and a common stereotypical tactic used against black people). Another judgment (see my second comment). My original comment wasn't even against anyone or anything. I even included black men (because we also do the same thing) in the hypocrisy behavior. You came on my post telling me this video, that woman's reasoning and the overall acceptance black people have with swirling when it's in the situation of their sex (i.e. point of view that each identify with) compared to the hate that's shown when the opposite is involved is nuanced and not hypocrisy. Which in all honesty is flat out wrong. This mindset is what sets us back. It's why movements fail. It's why we don't progress. Because most people (regardless of race) care about what affects themselves. This notion that black men are just failures to black women is no more ignorant than saying black women are angry selfish beings with attitudes (which is, false, wrong and ignorantly untrue). And the sad thing is. Both of these tropes are pushed by us. All I'm saying is this. She chose a white man. And thats her right and her prerogative. Just like it was Serenas right and Megan Markle's right. But their decision is no different than John legends, or any other black male that's done it also. But for some reason it's not looked at as the same. And that's hypocritical.

Its called interracial marriage in america out of a history of racism. We use the term race in America because the country supported racism/segregation/slavery up until 1965. The correct term has always been ETHNIC GROUP. Their is no Black and White or Asian race under the scientific method and humans are classified as homo-sapient. If you classify people as a separate species then you can validate prejudice, slavery, inequality and racism with that classification system it does not seem so bad to do these things. Black people were deemed 1/5 human in America. I do not use the term racial in anything I use ethic group using the term race as a black person give other ethnic groups power over you.... I'm NOT doing it.

You’re still likely to wind up divorced. The demographics of the marriage partners is relevant, but there’s still a high rate of failure - although BW-WM marriages tend to last longer than BM-WW marriages on average. This woman thinks she got the greatest dude on the planet, but she’ll find out the hard way that all she got was financial security and a dude who is with her because the s3x is better than anything he has ever had in his life. 🤷🏽♂️ That’s not the holy grail. No group of men is better or worse than any other group. We are all just men.

Are you envious that she found mutual love and made it legitimate instead of shacking up. Rachel is classy, educated, has high morals, and comes from an upper class family. She also found a husband who has a comparable amount of education. I am baffled about why you referred to her husband as a White man. Looking at his mother, it is obvious that she is not a White woman. Instead, she is obviously a descendant of Indians who have some admixture of White Spanish (European) blood. In Mexico, such people are referred to as Mestizo, meaning mixed-race. So obviously, she did not produce a white son. Conversely, I am sure that even though Rachel is a Black woman, she, like a large percentage of Black Americans, has some European blood. It's no big deal in my opinion. At least, she us not hiding her heritage from him. I wish these two beautiful people many years of happiness, love and God's guidance. Blessings & Good Health to You.
