Calgary under his administration spent a lot of money in useless "art" such as the blue ring and the bolford rusty crap. We've also experienced a raise in homeless and emptiness in business offices as business fleed to cities/provinces with less taxes. He did nothing productive to Calgary and the only reason he was popular was because of the massive Indian immigrants population in Calgary who blindly votes for whoever is from their culture (that's why current calgary mayor is also from Indian heritage). Watch out Alberta. He might sound cool and friendly, but just like Justin Trudeau, he is terrible managing public funds. No Thanks!

One would be led to believe that the 2014-19 collapse in world oil prices followed by the 2020-23 world wide pandemic did a lot of that. As for Trudeau's "mismanagement" of public funds, one look at the nearly $40B cost of the Trans Mountain pipeline clearly indicates he was wrong to buy it to appease Alberta in the first place. Let Alberta buy it instead. The Kid may even offer a discount to relieve the needless burden on Canadian taxpayers.

Lmao a cabal of large home builders/developers literally planned to take over city council to thwart the will of the citizens of Calgary. The developers wanted more of the same backroom politics as usual--there's literally video that went national of the Shane Homes owner talking about his crooked plan to take over city council. And the whole reason the shady builders took on city council instead of Nenshi directly is because even they admitted Nenshi was so popular with the people of Calgary that the developers wouldn't be able to beat him. This is coming from someone who used to Vote UCP: The Federal NDP and Alberta NDP are two very different parties. Alberta NDP is centrist/Centrist right and are what "progressive conservatives" actually should be, not what the UCP are now. This is why Neshi is an appealing candidate due to his "purple" politics and is probably a much better choice than if Notely were to stay. Current UCP conservatives need to understand that their party is different to what it was even 10 years ago let alone historically. both the Alberta UCP and NDP have been leaning more right over the years, if conservatives actually believed in their values they would understand that the current NDP have become what the UCP should be. Federal NDP are much more left leaning. Alberta NDP and federal NDP disagree on alot of things including oil. Its actually why there's been a call for a rebranding of the Alberta NDP from within to distance themselves from the feds. It is not an unreasonable proposition at all to have well funded education and healthcare, this is something any party should be able to deliver. Looking at our NDP counterparts in BC, they are largely able to achieve this with budget surpluses apart from during covid. I would encourage my UCP friends to consider parties and candidates on case by case basis based on policies and not their gut feelings. Almost all of Alberta votes Conservative on the Federal level but almost half voted NDP provincially, there is a reason for this.

Hey, nice homophobia, bud! Alberta is so proud of you and your Grade 3 education.

@@TT-fq7plCalling a spade a spade is not phobia of anything. You seem to be terrified of people freely expressing them selves as I find your comments everywhere with the same negative Marxtard bullshit.

I fully understand why Nenshi does not agree with Danielle Smith’s fights with Trudeau/Singh because Nenshi does not have the cahonies. The part about how he would look out for all Albertans is pure rubbish. Nenshi looks out for only himself. How much bribe did he receive from Trudeau during his surprise visit to Alberta recently after the Kim Campbell disasterous failure? Nenshi should return to his mother’s basement, never to be allowed anywhere near the public purse!

Well, if he looks out only for himself, why would that bother a UCP supporter? That party's all about greed and self-interest.

Explain what you mean by "woke." Do you mean it as a substitute for "progressive human rights?" If so, why would you be opposed? If not, what exactly do you mean by it? Is it just a word you've picked up by watching right wing news channels from the States?

We can thank Nenshi for the water crisis in Calgary right now.....the lines were NEVER inspected for 10 years.....he was the mayor at that time. Alberta CANNOT even think of him becoming premier
