Nathan Tyson joined Nottingham Forest in League One, and a few years later was in the Championship play-offs for a second successive season. In between, there was plenty to talk about! Here’s his story of life at the City Ground…

Was interested to see what kind of bloke Tyson is and was pleasantly surprised to find a down to earth, humble guy. Great interview. Probably the quickest guy l’ve seen on a football pitch.

Great chat, Tyson comes across really well, as he always did when interviewed as a player too. Basically confirmed what we all suspected at the time that Mark Arthur was useless to say the least. We lost so many good players on a free because of him

Nathan had lightning pace but not necessarily the awareness and finishing ability to go with it. Not sure we always got the best out of him on the left wing.

Typical Mark Arthur not willing to discuss terms happy to show players the door. Did the same to Kris Commons. It was obvious that they were planning to let certain players go and change of manager, that’s what cost us the following season. Why leave contracts right to the end for players that are key figures for the club? Times when we were financially tight.
