@@dspicerj Average” isn’t a good indicator of the average person’s income, as it easily swayed by outliers and doesn’t map well onto reality. The median is a better indicator and 85k is more than the median household income for 45 states out of 50. The median income for the whole country is 65k, so anything above that means you’re doing better than the average american. Also, men, just like women, get to decide whatever role they want within society, as long as it’s legal, after all isn’t that what America was founded on? The right of the individual to seek happiness and lead his life whatever way he sees fit, within legal boundaries of course. Now, let’s put statistics aside, in the hopes that I was able to pull you out of a distorted world view where somehow being middle class is considered mediocre. I couldn’t give less of a fuck what is considered average or what other people think of me, through experience I’ve learned that following other people’s dreams and society’s expectations only leads to misery, so instead I decided to pursue my own happiness, follow my own values, listen to my own instincts, emotions and thoughts and structure them in such a way that allows me both to be directed by them, and not to fall prey to the whims of whatever short term feeling I may have in a specific period. Hearing the term “help mate” is driving me insane. That is not in the Bible. It’s a misquoting of the term “help meet” which is a common term in trad circles, and is ALSO not a real term. The Bible says “and she shall be a help meet for him,” the word “meet” meaning “fit.” So “a helper fit for him,” but tradcons decided to turn “help meet” into a fake term, and now Pearl and Jed are misquoting even that. It’s just such a hilariously transparent example of how lazy their tradcon grift is.

She worked her ass off to be able to be where she is, and basically retired, how can she criticize women who are trying to do the exact same thing?? "I want you to buy all the things that you want" How can her world view be so materialistic, yet she's trying to "prove" that none of the things that mattered to her were actually materialistic. From her "arguments" the money is be all end all, the more money the better life, And she doesn't actually care about any struggles that come after that make rich people miserable and overworked, sad and alone. It's not a bullet to bite that money decreases its value to a person the more they have it, that she's trying to make it out to be, which is so fucking stupid. It tells me so much about her rotten, capitalistic, materialistic personality, when she's told that statistically ~$70k is enough to be happy and be okay, and she laughs it off and tries to prove that it's "impossible" to survive on that money in the most expensive parts of the world (Which is not true btw lol). ONLY New York, Only Miami, Only the biggest and most fancy places exist in her mind, and yet she shames people for trying to get to those places, it's disgusting
