Wonderful interview!! I also was born into the JW religion. And always loved God and wanted to serve Him. What I realized after understanding the book of Galatians is that the organization was ripping me away from Christ Jesus. We were told to follow the rules of the Watchtower. And so we made ourselves right with God, or justified ourselves, by keeping the current JW laws. The brothers said we were following Christ, all the while, through their teachings and law keeping, we were being severed from Christ. So glad you two got out so young!! With God all things are possible. He can show what he wants with who he wants and it's His place to do so. You stood up for truth even though family, friends, peers, and loved ones didnt stand up beside you. If we although being wicked can stand up for God, how much more so will God being holy and righteous stand up and fight for us! Hello Katya and Christian....WOW! First let me thank you for sharing your story. I am so happy for both of you ! I was a JW for 32 years and 2 yrs ago woke up and left...my wonderful husband son daughter in law and daughter also left. We attended our last mtg together and never went back! It’s been very difficult as you both know ...my parents too have recently woken up. They are early on their journey but have accepted Christ and submitted to Him. My husband and I have accepted and submitted to Christ as well...we have been born again and were baptized last summer in the name of the Father Son and Holy Spirit. My son like you is searching and although he has not become a full blown atheist he is struggling. My daughter in law sees Jesus and seems to be developing a relationship with Christ but Ik she wishes my son would embrace Christ as she has. My daughter also is struggling but seems further along than my son. I ask you to pray for them! Thank you so much for your courage in speaking your truth both today and in the past. I am so sorry you were abused and had to go through that pain! I am so happy that Jesus has touched you in this special way. Everyday I find something knew in the Bible that I thought I knew but in reality did NOT. Praise God for His mercy and kindness with us all😃

I've met and studied with Jehovah's Witnesses in the past. The first one became a "friend" for the sole purpose of converting me. When I showed him from the Bible that Jesus is God he stopped being my friend and stopped talking to me. I was sad because I was willing to be his friend even if he remained a JW. Most recently a JW met me at a public library who asked to study the Bible with me. I invited him, and he came with another brother who converted to the religion while attending college. I offered them something to eat or drink but they declined. When I showed both of those gentlemen that Jesus is God from their own bible, they left and never came back. I'm happy to see that there are JWs who are finding Jesus and are realizing the grace and love He has in store for them. This video gives me hope that perhaps studying with JWs is not a lost cause after all.

Unfortunately their love and friendship is very conditional. They are not to have friendships with non members so unless you show them that you will progress in studying with them, they will abandon you in time.

Brother, you may never actually witness a person turning away from a cult, but your witnessing is necessary as seed that the Holy Spirit will use for them. Remember, though, they have to repent and turn to God and believe, with faith, the gospel of God about Jesus the ANOINTED ONE (Christ). They alone have to make it. They are too deceived and immersed in their way of life too just turn overnight, this couple is relating a typical experience, obviously though with God's breathed words and the Spirit of God it is clearly possible, but jw's are unsaved peoples in the flesh (God's Spirit not being in them they are in the flesh not the Spirit- Romans 8:9). Some, like Bill and Joan Cetner, 2 of the Jw's greatest enemies during the 60s-90s, essentially, took years to make things clear in their thinking, all the while investigating the doctrines and all of the publications they are in, before they came out of this cult. Bill was even one of 3 in the headquarters that gave out God's so-called words answering jw's questions from 1/3 of the area of the United States during much of the 1950s. So far, every account of an individual or couple leaving this cult that I've listened to have struggled for quite a while, in nearly all cases, years. Believers have to know going in if you will, they may never personally witness a conversion, but any one believer may have a profound affect on a jw by the Power of God and His words- the gospel.

Wow guys! It makes me so happy to hear experiences like this! I've had a similar experience where I felt so close that I've seen Jesus' face like he was in the room with me! I don't tell anyone really because there's no explanation that can express the feelings but I asked Jesus several questions, felt elated, forgiven, full of gratitude, sobbed uncontrollably with sheer joy....All in one sitting Jesus let me know that it was Him - He showed me his sense of humor, He showed me scriptures helping me understand what I was experiencing, and told me it's ok, that one at a time he would show himself to every person and that eventually very specifically that "nothing will be hidden". It's an experience I can never forget. My problem is, no church has ever been able to make me feel comfortable or a feeling that He is with them. Churches all feel forced and plastic to me now because there's no matching that personal experience. I love your story and I love you both! ❤️

Jesus came to me with the words “ I am the way the truth and the life” that was it for me. I left the witnesses. It’s hard to explain in the natural the supernatural, I agree! Jesus comes personally for his own. I agree with Christian. When u are in the presence of the Lord you don’t want to come back to earth. You want to stay with Him wherever he is. You just know u belong to Jesus. There is no language spoken it’s mind to mind I experience that too with the Lord. And his love surpasses all the love we know. Can’t be compared to anything on this world. It’s time to take God out of the box coz all religions dictate God what to do. No!! We have to allowed God be a God. He is Almighty in everything.

Hi! I'm a Catholic. And personally, I also experienced what you said that He turned pages Himself in the Bible that was especially in my most lowest times. It didn't happen once but a lot. It turned to what I needed to read. It was so amazing. I just would like to share too a bible verse at 1 Timothy 3:15......the church is the pillar and foundation of truth. So I think it's not advisable to go on in our own way. We need guidance. I think it's also good to read the story of saints. They are inspiring. I also would like to suggest that you guys watch or listen to Catholic Answers Live. We have, I would say great converts to the Catholic Church like Tim Staples, Jimmy Akin, Trent Horn, Dr. Taylor Marshall, Dr. Scott Hahn, Steve Ray, Keith Nester, Dr. Peter Kreeft, Marcus Grodi, Rod Bennett and many more. I understand you two. I’m on my journey to find my middle , my peace . I still pray , but for the longest time I felt like a kid that just had too much candy . Sick to my stomach. Every time my mother would bring up the conversation of me returning to the “truth” . I would reject the idea of God of Jehovah. I knew I needed to watch this video! Just knew it! Had me in tears! I was a JW for like 20 years and was even in 2 dramas. Was literature servant and later account servant. DF’d around 2001-02. Leaned towards atheism but just was looking for love in this world before death. Eventually met a Christian women and gave her a hard time. Became a Christian. Became disheartened with Christians and churches. Was still clinging to JW things. Finally wrote God a letter and also asked if it was OK to talk to Jesus too. Weeks afterwards had some incredible encounters while praying as well as incredible dreams. This testimony is so important! So powerful! So many Ex JWs turn to atheism! I’m trying to help as many as possible even though it has strained some relationships! I’m going through a hard time as well but this video kept popping up on every device while I was praying! I could no longer ignore it and now I know why! I’ve been looking for EX JW’s that have had encounters similar to mine! This testimony and your encounter knocks it out of the park! Praise God! When I watched Katja’s testimony I had no ideia what was coming in Christian’s😅😳🙏 This just shows how relentlessly God pursues us. I am also happy that each of you had your own personal experience with Jesus instead of one believing because the other does. And then being lukewarm about it. To be a "Christian" one must believe that Jesus is not merely a Man (which he is), but also that he is Divine (the only begotten Son of God). Jesus is "begotten" or "unique" from the Father, NOT made! Jesus is fully God and fully Man. This is non-negotiable. Only the true Jesus can "save" anyone from their sins. If he is simply "Michael the Archangel " from the Old Testament, Jesus is not capable of saving anyone. Angels are messengers and warriors of God the Father. Only God the Son (our Paschal Lamb) can grant a pardon for our sins. JWs are not true Christians. They are NOT Christians at all. See the Nicene Creed for more information. 🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂

Their stories are very beautiful and I could relate so much to Christians experience. I was raised as a Christian but in my case I feel extremely traumatized by Christianity. I don't think I'm an atheist but I find myself having a hard time believing any religion. I don't know if Jesus is real but deep down I wish he was.

I was in a religious cult too. Very painful experience! I went out and became the “traitor” for them, they told me I was going to hell. Those people are crazy, but God is not , He never obligates anybody to do anything..He’s a Gentleman. The best thing I did was not fighting against God because He loves me, but fighting against that experience/ people It’s normal to not wanting to know about religion at the beginning because it reminds us the cult... Psychological advice can heal those memories... God loves both of you.. He let you both see the truth and took you both out of that place. You+God are together in this fight. Enjoy life with the real Jesus God.. Don’t be afraid. God gave you life, wants to share eternity with you... Blessings God heals your sexual abuse.. He will give you a new family and new and BETTER friends

Christian,. I am much older than you but our stories share many similarities. The same authors, anger at God and searching occult practices. Then the inexplicably intense spiritual experience with Christ. It turned me around completely. You two are just a little better than terrific!! I am a former JW and it’s so hard to be accepted by my family and your testimony has helped me immensely, it gave me strength to not give up! I’ve been praying to God for them too accept me and my wife as Christians but they are sucked in to what JW’s believe. Thank you for your testimony!

Hello regular dude. I have watched you two guys as you have tried to unravel the confusion and all of the other nasty stuff that comes with being an ex JW. The worst thing is when I see people lose their faith and drift in a fog of disbelief or even rabid atheism. For a while I was wondering where you guys would end up. However I cannot tell you how pleased I am that you have found Jesus and are living the real life and have the joy that you deserve. I know that you now feel it has all been worth it! You are a great source of encouragement to me. And you have taught me (Katcha) to be more patient with my adult children who are going through a kind of your husband phase. It reassures me everything will be O.K in the end. Thanks for sharing, God bless you both and good luck with the family thing too. Well done on both interviews .

what an awesome video Christian and Katja , my story is a lot like yours…I come from a family of jehovah witnesses , never got baptized because I did not like the feeling of joining anything that I was not comfortable with..I’ve had many discussions with my jehovah witness mother over the years and none of them ever went anywhere..she used to always say to me ‘awe what do you know , you’ve never read the Bible’ ..! so after hearing that so many times , I decided to do just that, read and studied the whole New Testament , Mathew right through to Revelation , which took me four months to do , and what an eye opener that was..! now my jw brother and mother do not want to talk to me about biblical things anymore , which is just fine with me..I get a lot out of your videos , so keep them coming and maybe there will be other jehovah witnesses out there also , that will finally see the light as well..thanks again for the nice video..!

OH MY GOODNESS I'VE BEEN TO THAT EXACT PLACE HE DESCRIBED!!! So, to give some backstory, I was raised in an abusive home, father wasn't a Christian, mom thought she was but was brought under a doctrine of works for righteousness, and was easily convinced of it because of her own abusive past. When my parents started to separate, my mom took me and my three younger brothers (I have six brothers) and we were staying in a women's shelter, but I was rebellious and too much of a handful so I was sent to live in a girl's group home, which became like a living hell for me. I developed complex ptsd, anxiety, and depression, was suffering from bipolar swings, panic attacks, insomnia, and suicidal thoughts for months on end. One night I had gotten myself in trouble with the staff workers in the group home (again) and was sent to sit in a room apart from the other girls. In utter exhaustion and absolute despair of spirit I laid my head on the table and closed my eyes, and the moment I did that my eyes opened again, but somewhere completely different. I sat up. I was in a dark field of grass. There was no wind, but the grass was rustling a bit. In the distance were some dark shapes; I thought mountains or a forest. Then I stood up and looked up, and oh my goodness, if I could ever describe to you the absolute, stunning beauty of the stars in that sky, I could cry. More stars than I'd ever seen, all glowing brilliantly down. The vision lasted for an eternity in an instant. My head snapped back up and I was back in the room in the group home, really confused, but my spirit was utterly refreshed. The image stayed in my mind for weeks after, and I clung to it. It was a source of hope, when every day I woke and wanted to die in that hole of spiritual darkness and despair. Later I learned that my mom had been praying for me a lot. There was some stuff I survived in there and came out untouched that I still can't account for, except ascribing it as a miracle of God. This was also a time when I longed for nature, pure and unblemished. I believe God gave me just a peek of that, so I could continue on.

So heartening to see former cult members thinking for themselves and following their hearts and desires. As for myself, my escape from the cult mind control of Christian fundamentalism led me to accept that I have no reason to believe in a god, and although one may exist, it does not affect my life in any tangible way--and that my life is far more meaningful and peaceful than it ever was as a Believer. Study the Holy Bible and challenge your leaders that you follow by it. If they are subtracting the word changing it or contorting it then you will know. Why would you be shunned from the truth? The bible teaches you heaven or hell. The scripture is plain. Use your own mind. Follow the scriptures. It is food for life. What is a Christian?

I brought my son up Christian. Not Jehovah witness. But I brought him up a actual Christian. I taught him about being born again. But he’s nearly 20 and has been agnostic since he was 16. I have been praying for my son for Jesus to show my son as well. And nothing has happened and my son is still agnostic.

Christian & Katja, Wow you guys what an awesome journey home to the only “TRUTH” (Jo. 14:6) I left the Witnesses in 2013 for good and 12/8/2019 I made Jesus my Lord and savior after being duped for 30 years. I’m so encouraged by this testimony, it just goes to show that God will reveal himself no matter how much darkness covers us he is waiting for us to accept him into our lives and hearts. May Jesus bless you always and the beautiful family you build together. Praise the Lord!!
