I met Dave in 1987 in paparoa prison and he was a man with much mana. This has touched me greatly and I met his brother in the mount in 91 and he also was a top bloke. I believe in God in my personal way and at 67 I'm still in awe at what's happening in my life. I am the eldest of ten boys and it's a awesome thing to see Dave here. Much Aroha and respect for you bro. I am going thru a profound change at the moment, I am a humble man now, still need some more humility as I'm going thru this journey called life. Tehei Mauri Ora brothers this has made my day.

I just stumbled upon this video and started watching it because I knew it would be a powerful testimony. I hit rock bottom and nearly died twice only to find the Lord Jesus Christ pulling me up and giving me a reason to live. Then when i heard the Advent message and the power that God works, I became an Sda.

Wow David, such a journey you have travelled, I've always seen gangs as sad little boys searching for exceptance. A lot never find their hearts they get so lost. You should be proud of yourself for all do, finding your heart is hard in this cold world, its such a good thing for so many you found yours. Its our hard times that shape us, some only ever find anger you are amazing. Thanks King Dave for making Sunday a day to look forward to, you bring recognition to people helping people that through their darkness have found the light and make their lives so rich helping others.

Another great interview bro. Love the style. Love what the bro has to say...grew up as a state ward. Spent most of my youth from age 4 in and out of family homes, foster homes, the sisters of mercy catholic orphange home..a few years going in and out of epuni boys home , wadestown boys home etc...met heaps of cool guys. But in honesty they were horrible places for kids to grow up in. Much love to everybody . Stay well.

I love this stuff, believe me I’m no Holy Roller however I’m not blind to the fact that peace in one’s life is there for anyone no matter your background. Surround yourself with the right people, if you sleep on the dogs bed too long, eventually fleas will get bite you. Find a God of your understanding and continually surrender to the fact that that god is a power greater than ourselves and ask your god how you can serve him not how he can serve you. The rest my friends is a journey of self discovery, seeing ourselves honestly without justification it knowing it’s all good, share with your people, learn your not alone and love yourself. Awesome channel mate, love what your doing. 😊

Find a God of your understanding? What in the world of satan does that mean? There is only one God. The God of the Bible. Hes the one who Created Us & the world we live in. Hes the only God worth finding. The rest are gods of sticks & stones & a figmant of ones imagination. Yeshua HaMashiach aka Jesus Christ is the one to seek. Hes the only One who can save Anyone. A "god" of our own understanding will only lead us to our own demise. Dont take offence. Just leading a horse to water. You aint got to drink brother. Its your choice.

So do I Micky, all things a possible with God. People respond to personal testimonials because it's real. I remember talking to this Aboriginal elder - a real top bloke and he was raised as one of the tribal executioners who pointed the bone and took many life's. Now he's an sda soldier and witnessing for Christ.

What a beautiful man. Thanks so much for his story. Its important to mention the past but its the transformation and what has been created that is where the miracle is. I only have to look at my own life and the grace of the lord jesus and his work to realise the power that can be vested in us by the H_ Spir_ (i dare not type the name lightly). Looking at this man and the beautiful light that shines through him I am in no doubt of the power of christ. Thank you David.
