What state do you live that you can't rent an apartment or find a decent job? All a felony does is make it harder not impossible. Barring of course certain atrocity crimes and even than it's still possible, just painful to do. Normally this would be a disqualifier since normally such charges would be taken seriously by the public. However since this was obviously a stunt to rig an election due to timing of the charges this has likely caused the opposite effect and made him more favorable to vote for. Plus I'm of the opinion that Biden is such a terrible President in just about all regards and is so completely incompetent that even a Felony would be a vast upgrade by a very very very long shot.

Anyone can run for president as long as they meet three requirements: age, citizenship and residence in the U.S.. There are no exceptions to those requirements. The purpose of this is to protect voters, not candidates. Imagine if a party wanted to convict a president to prevent him from running again, when he is innocent but is wrongfully sentenced. It would be an injustice to prevent voting for him because of an exception in which disqualifies convicted felons. Whether or not this is the case with Trump is up to you to decide. To me, it’s quiet clear how people are free to vote for whomever they wish.

I love our country but Our military is full of felons because in the 1970’s judges gave felons a choice to either enlist in the Army or go to prison. So the felons joined the Army instead. Now the army has been drowning with those felons that have ruined our Army. There was an article in the Military magazine Stars and Stripes in 2009 stating the Army was trying to get rid of all those bad apples. But they are still there. Ft Jackson has a high mortality rate of their recruits. It is terrifying. And the secretary of the army doesn’t know why no one wants to enlist? Doesn’t take a genius to figure it out…cats of the bag and no kid wants to be abused by a bunch of leftover felons from the 70’s. I was only enlisted for 10 months and was on DEP…so I drilled for 10 months before shipping out to BCT. and I saw & heard some crazy💩. It was so bad. Those kids the things they do to them are even against the laws of the Geneva convention that protect POWS. It’s disgusting.

It's important to note here, that paying hush money is not illegal. Paying hush money to bury a story is not illegal. Paying hush money for the purposes of a political campaign is not illegal. Paying hush money for the purposes of a political campaign and failing to report it to the Federal Election Commission, when the political campaign is for President of the United States is illegal. Falsifying business records to hide the purpose of that money and evade the mandatory reporting to the FEC is a crime in the state of New York. The issue is more subtle. It's not that he paid hush money, it's that he doctored, and instructed others to doctor, business records in New York State to hide the (totally legal) use of funds in order to conceal the actual purpose of paying those funds, in order to evade the requirement that he report those funds to the FEC. It would have been totally legal for Trump to have paid Daniels for her story, and paid her not to talk about it in the press. And if he did those purely for personal reasons (like to save his family the embarrassment) he wouldn't have really needed to disclose them to anyone. But if he paid those funds to increase his odds of winning the Presidential election he was legally mandated to report those funds to the FEC. The jury found, based on the evidence presented, that those funds were paid to increase his chances to win the presidental election, not for any personal reasons. When you have to change the rules the jury follows from unanimous to, "Eh, enough.", you failed.
