When I heard it on the news as it was happening, I got chills first, then cried... Pride and relief. When Lawrence read this off, I closed my eyes and imagined if that verdict was aimed at me... It was a dark, lonely, fearful feeling and a sickening feeling in my stomach. It is worth considering that he is still on bail until sentencing and that bail can be revoked if he misbehaves. I also suspect that there will be other cases where someone convicted and has other cases pending has their bail revoked. If he fails to cooperate with the pre-sentence assessment, such as meeting his probation officer then that could get his bail revoked. I'm not hopeful, I'm just saying it is possible.
