Always reaching out to give me a hug when he saw me. A great statesman, a great humanitarian, a friend to all who met him,a man that never judged others. @shannonswift2233 only that as a shy kid, he always made me feel at ease. I was around 6 when I first met him and Mrs Carter, and I think the last time I saw him was when u was around 50. As I mentioned above, he always remembered my name....to him I wasn't just Doris's daughter, which put me over the moon. The stories are what he did in his life for so many all over the world. Not only will his memory be a blessing, but his whole life and the example he set will shine for decades to come.

My cousin in California does work for Habitat for Humanity helping build houses. President Carter would visit often and my cousin said he was a great person to talk to. Very approachable.

While his presidency has been criticized by many, his hard work and dedication helping those less fortunate has not. Well past the age where most of us would be retired or deceased, Jimmy Carter never stopped. His life will never be criticized by nobody, only praised.
