However, conspiracy theories who claim all kinds of lies about Rawlings couldn’t present any evidence to the NRC Kuffour set up against Jerry. They forgot that Kuffour also served in the PNDC. Where were they when Kuffuor’s regime murdered Yaa Naa and 40 of his sub-chiefs with Isaah Mobillah(PNC chairman) and Roko Frimpong(GCB) manager who were strong critics of Kuffour without a culprit? Where were they when series of prominent people, including MPs, were murdered under Akuffo Addo? Where were they when seven people were gunned down during the 2020 election by security officers including the one on trial from Akuffo Addo’s office?

Our constitution says if anyone ILLIGALLY overthrows a constitutionally elected government the people can also use any means necessary to overthrow that ILLIGALL government (PNDC) in order to restore the constitution. So Giwa and co were on the right path to take power from those armed robbers called PNDC and reinstall our constitution.

Who knows, we might have enjoyed democratic rule from 1979 if he had not greedily attempt the coup. No one knows why he did that. The country was stable till he decided to stage a coup. Democratic rule was established in September after the June 4 1979. Only for him to stage another coup on December 31st 1981. Why did he do that?

They were dismembered & their bodies left for vultures. The victims were themselves wild . The response was horrible, by today's Human rights standards. A man who murdered and/or sought to murder fellow soldiers who freed him from prison. That is not a good human being.I remember listening to his announcement live on radio, our house was a five minute walk from broadcasting and we could hear the gunfire. As for Giwa, he was one tough SOB, a truly hard man. He should not have returned after the attempted coup though. Should have made his way abroad like some of the others. Unfortunately too brave for his own good.

Secondly he commited treason which in our constitution makes him an outlaw. So from that point he becomes an ilegal person. He was able to do so because he had the gun.

@@jameshanson5561 there were several constitutions adopted by ghana including 1957, 1969, and 1979, 1992 among them. some of these constitutions were illegally adopted( without referendum). so by themselves are not even biding. the first attempted coup of Rawlings was to overthrow a military government. according to the constitution anyone who succeeds in overthrowing the constitution is to be rewarded(in the sense that an overthrown constitution can neither punish or rewards. this implicitly means a rewards.). it's only treasonous if the person fails. Rawlings failed and this is why you think he committed treason. sadly for you, you have forgotten he was overthrowing an illegitimate government(military) and constitution. that is his responsibility and duty according to our national anthem and pledge which is to resist such governments and constitutions. you can not accuse him of treason for overthrowing an illegitimate constitution. the moment he returned governance to a civilian government he was absolved from any wrong doing. now, you may talk about his second coup d'etat. since it was successful, it's not treasonous. my dear, the law is very funny.

However, conspiracy theories who claim all kinds of lies about Rawlings couldn’t present any evidence to the NRC Kuffour set up against Jerry. They forgot that Kuffour also served in the PNDC. Where were they when Kuffuor’s regime murdered Yaa Naa and 40 of his sub-chiefs with Isaah Mobillah(PNC chairman) and Roko Frimpong(GCB) manager who were strong critics of Kuffour without a culprit? Where were they when series of prominent people, including MPs, were murdered under Akuffo Addo? Where were they when seven people were gunned down during the 2020 election by security officers including the one on trial from Akuffo Addo’s office?

Well, where is Rawlings? The evil that man do.......; Rawlings suffered more than those he butchered. Per his own confession for many years he couldn't sleep. Thus he died a slow death.
