I am mixed race and deal with many multi racial people. I agree that skin tone, eye color, hair type, eye shape, and many other topics are typical, normal, and common. Claiming that wondering about skin tone is racist, IMHO is the racist part. Thinking you can disallowwhite people to talk about something like this is what is racist. Dark people do joke about kids that are too pale. I am also convinced that Markle herself wondered. I would be willing to bet that the darker side of her family thought or commented about the kids looks too.

I'm also mixed race and to say that talking about what a mixed race baby will look like is racist is akin to saying "I don't see color" or "I'm colorblind" which many antiracists will say is problematic. If you take note of the things they gripe about - such as Catherine making MM cry; Catherine going shopping and not asking MM along; William getting an extra sausage for breakfast when they were kids; William getting the bigger side of the Balmoral bedroom and of Catherine once looking at MM in a funny way, they point to two people whose sensitivity is so heightened that it's hard to see how they get through a single day of normal adult life. Yet MM was able to get a part in a cable TV show, start a relatively successful blog and then move up the ladder by latching on to people in Canadian society before finally setting her cap at a prince. Now she and her husband have spent the better part of 3yrs attacking the British Royal Family - that takes some nerve - and you cannot do these things if you are as flaky as MM purports to be. From what we know about Harry, he was already sensitive to criticism, paranoid about the press and pretty immature, but why did MM's sensitivity only come about when she failed to get her own way within the RF?

This was a private conversation among families. Any couple especially from different background or ethnicity, this is very common and no malice in the background of race. MegNut was not even there but the conversation was relayed to her by Hazbeen. Who knows if he also been there or was relayed to him but another third party. But the problem is…….MegNut put a malice on this . She knew she’s having a conflict within the RF plus the allegations of her bullying of her own staff. I get why it has to be taken seriously, but it's an allegation that has never been substantiated with a shred of evidence beyond what was said in the Oprah interview - and even then Harry gave one story and his wife gave another. To confound things even further, in the Bradby interview earlier this year Harry said that neither he nor his wife had said that the family was racist - the press had done that. He then went on to categorically state that his family was not racist - although I think he still claims some form of 'unconsious bias'. However Harry's idea of unconscious bias is so perverse and so cognitively impossible that none of us could get through so much as a trip to the supermarket without being guilty of it.

My ex husband is from Mexico (half Aztec and Mayan) and when I was pregnant with our son, we all wondered and chatted about what he would look like. Would he have my red hair from both sides of my family with darker skin? Would he have dark hair like dad and pale skin like me? When he was born with jet black hair and ivory skin, his dad joked and said, "OMG, he's so beautiful but so white!" Should I write a book and proclaim that my ex is racist? No, because it was in jest. Both sides of our family speculated and were curious what our baby would look like. It's very common, even when a child isn't a mixed race. So, I call major BS. When Harry shared the conversation with Meghan, he explained it was said with humor and laughed along with the others who commented because it was obviously a lighthearted and innocent comment. But Meghan was not about to let that opportunity go to waste. It was not to her benefit to ignore the innocent comment. It was much more convenient for Meghan to take offense and twist the comment into something ugly, something racial, which would fit beautifully with her victim agenda, too. By doing so, she provided for herself and the world, the reason why people didn't like her, as opposed to admitting the only reason people didn't like her was because of her personality and nothing to do with her skin color! It was much more convenient to say they didn't like her because they were racists! It's a much harder pill to swallow to say nothing and let the truth stand on its own; people didn't like her for how she behaved and her obnoxious personality! Wondering about someone’s looks is not racist! It’s innocent curiosity. Unless, of course, you are so feeble and fragile that everything offends you, in which case, “You poor pathetic thing.” Or, as in Megan’s case, she couldn’t fathom that she was unlikeable because of her personality. So she had to convince herself and the world that the reason people didn’t like her was because of her skin color, which is white, by the way! I believe, for this reason, when Harry was asked about the racist RF, he immediately denied it. In fact, he said there were no racists in the RF. He then came up with "unconscious bias," which may have been Meghan's compromise when possibly arguing the matter behind doors. Harry may have argued that point that his family were not racists! But he was too spineless to come out publicly to defend the RF. Meghan would have had none of that. Hence, "unconscious bias" became the excuse, but not after Meghan let it run for years without taking her comment back. It was only when Harry was directly asked on TV that he allowed himself (having the excuse that he was asked directly) to "sort of" take back the comment. Harry is between a rock (RF) and a hard place (Meghan). He wouldn't dare infuriate Meghan by going against her and clearly stating his family was not racist. He did the best he could under the circumstances. Meghan would never forgive him if he had said they were not racists, so "unconscious bias" was the best he could do. One cannot expect a man-child without a backbone to tell his wife what certain boundaries he will not allow her to cross, like twisting scenarios and lying about his family. Clearly, he is a coward! When my daughter married a Latino, I wanted my grandson to have his coloring. I guess I’m racist??? Just because you ask a question doesn't mean you're racist. I wondered about the baby's skin color. I'm fascinated with genetics and what we inherit from our biological parents. It is only racism, in my opinion, when there is discrimination, degradation, or deprivation. Meghan was openly welcomed and very well-liked. In fact, the Brits loved her at first. It was only later when people got to know the real Meghan, when her behavior and obnoxious personality became evident, that people stopped liking her. Talking about a person's looks and features, or wondering what they will look like, is not racist and very common in families when one is expecting a child, especially when parents are of different races.

One has to wonder why all of a sudden she declared herself to be black when she married Harry and yet there were no black aunts, uncles or cousins at her wedding.
