Before the final script is published and/or translated, everyone involved signs off on it. Everyone. They knew. Scobie knew. MM & PH knew. The publisher knew. They were all in on it. Something must have happened after publication. Most probably a lawsuit threat.

If the leaked name is the person who is supposed to be racist then they picked one of the least racist people in the world - let alone the UK. I used to hang around at a publishing house for our school paper, and the copy editors and proofreaders there took their work seriously. Wouldn't clear any manuscript for printing until every typo has been corrected and double-checked. A bigger company would be ten times more careful. I believe that this was not a translation error. If what he's written isn't true or he cannot prove to the satisfaction of the Court that it is true then he can be sued for libel. I should imagine it would be extremely difficult for him to prove that King Charles said what Scabies is alleging as he wasn't there and even the Markles would have the same difficulty as, if it was said, it was verbal with no recording and the Markles are not known for telling the truth. Another difficulty would be that the Court would have to decide whether, if said, the remark was racist. Most people from mixed-race families have said that it's a common discussion in mixed-race families and does not have racist connotations. So Scabies accusation of racism would also have to be proved - difficult in the circumstances. I should imagine Scabies would be in an extremely difficult position and unlikely to win.

Anyone seeing the good they do know they aren’t racist. Wasn’t Meghan the first ever royal who was staying at someone’s house in another country and wanted the whole house not just the wing? No other royal even the queen asked for that but gratefully accepted the wing. There were no bullying accusations in the royal family before Meghan and haven’t been any after regarding the current royal members. Common denominator = Meghan. Rocket science it is not.

The two paragraphs set side by side relating to this subject were totally different so there was NO translation error/ typo. There is also rumors that the same paragraph used in the dutch edition was also used in other european language translations. Omid and the publishers thought they could get away with it by naming the two names by putting them in non English language versions. They are now panicking claiming it was a translation / typo because the Dutch have said they will now recall and pulp the Dutch versions. thus loss of revenue for omid and the publishers hopefully other European countries will follow suit.

I am incandescent with rage that King Charles 3rd has been labelled a racist. He is a man who has from his 20's has championed not using plastics, protecting our natural environment and respect for all. Everyone makes mistakes in what they say or do in 70 years of life. But, I want anyone who thinks Charles is a racist to look at how he led Rachel up the aisle and his son saying, Thank you dad". Does that show a racist family? On the contrary it shows, "The Palace", giving Rachel a magnificent wedding with crowds of ordinary people cheering her. The one problem I thought was that her dad wasn't with her. And the publisher is now recalling the copies back while simutaneously saying the new version will be on the market next week . How can there be new books next week, if not planned aleady. I am indian and my husband is white. I remember us having discussions on skin colour, hair and eyes. I have family members who are married within our race and have discussed skin shade, type of hair, baldness and all sorts. The conversations were put of interest not because we are racist! MM always considered she was white. She was simply shocked that the papers said she was of mixed race. If anyone was racist, she most definitely is as she is ashamed to have black in her!! Showing her mum off is merely to prove to the public that she is not racist.

Markle claimed to be white until she married Prince Harry. Then she claimed to be black, with a black mother and white father. Who wouldn't wonder how the kid would turn out? Mix a ginger with black and sometimes you get orange. Would he be tall like Harry or short like Markle and her mother? Both children were born by surrogate because Markle had a hysterectomy at a young age, after she gave birth to a daughter at 18-19 (first marriage annuled). In so many ways a NON STORY. Designed to sell more books. I would have been surprised if questions about the likely colour of the unborn child was not discussed. I have a Chinese daughter in law, and when she was pregnant, the question of future skin colour was discussed, as we discussed collour of eyes and general health.
