For those of you who don't understand, each category of speedrun has different rules determined by the community. This one is any% on patch 1.02 restricted and that's why hoarfrost stomp is still broken. Anyone doing this speed run will have that same opportunity to use that broken ash. Using zips you can finish faster, but that's a different category. There's lots of different world records, depending on the category. 99% of speedrun watchers understand this, but this is for the 1%.

Perfectly said. Yeah, this category is ok for me, but it really lacks a lot of skill and is primarily luck. Getting ideal fights boils down to getting RNG where you can mash L2, and the boss doesn't kill you for it.... Not something I want to spend any more time on. Can the time go lower? Absolutely, but I won't be the one who does it. I'd rather spend time on something with a little more depth.

may i ask, why do you block with shield when you run? do you run faster that way?

@@TheBarOst No, it's only for animation recovery for jump spam on uphill slopes, which is slightly faster.

@sylvainmazet52 On 1.02, when you quitout after dismount, you enter a state where torrent loads into the game unmounted. If you kill torrent with fall damage and resummon him, you enter what we call "pegasus" state where you ignore the effects of gravity while riding torrent.

@mr_lucassss I don't really mind if anyone wants to take this record. This category isn't something I care about even slightly. It has one of the lowest skill ceilings in a speedrun category that I've ever seen, and is essentially just like pulling lottery tickets every run due to requiring specific openers from Maliketh and Radagon to be competitive. Every other attempt is an automatic reset no matter what. Meaning that if another runner is willing to grind long streams of this category every day, they can beat this time through trial and error alone as long as they're persistent. I put almost no effort, practice, or time into this category. This was my last any% run of ER regardless. The only reason I came back to do another run is because in my previous PB, I failed the first try Godfrey skip and lost a few seconds which has irked me for like 2 months since I did it lol.

I never said that, yet it's being written and advertised on other channels that I threw down some kind of gauntlet. Getting the world record does not make you the best, got it. Having 10+ world records across multiple souls games and not being able to make a simple statement after putting 3500 hours of my life toward grinding to be better at these games and get to where I am, got it. I should show more humility, like people such as @zengknight4494 👌 The problem is that no matter how good you get, someone will always beat you down, especially when you try to lift yourself up. I don't have to beat people down because I'm moving forward. I will lift myself up without apologizing, and I'll lift everyone else up who wants to come with me on this journey.

@zengknight4494 I don't feel any sort of victimization from any of the comments from any of my viewers. That's why I said I won't apologize to you or anyone else for what I said in the video because I don't really care that you disagree with me, and that's ok. I don't have to appease you just because you disagree with me, nor will I ever do that for anyone. That's what us having an open discussion and free speech is about. I didn't do anything wrong by saying I'm the best, and you didn't do anything wrong by saying you think I'm not. At the end of the day you're a fan just for taking the time to watch, and in your case comment muliple times, so I greatly appreciate your feedback, whether it's positive or negative! But in your case it was definitely negative and an attempt to to beat me down by telling me to humble myself and telling me to play the game on current patch as if I've never done that before in my life, then saying I have victim mentality for simply discussing my stance on what I previously said, when you started our conversation in the first place. But that doesn't mean I feel like a victim because random people on the internet comment on my videos saying they think I'm not the best. 😂 Best case, it helps fuel conversation from other people who also feel the same way you do! And the conversation boosts the algorithm exposure.

@zengknight4494 I think you're reading too deeply into it, but think whatever helps you! You actually told me to humble myself as the opening statement to our conversation. Showing humility is, by definition, an act of submission. I'm not going to do that for you, so therefore, I'm not apologizing. Pretty straightforward. And for the record, I don't think of you as good or bad. You simply wrote something negative to me because you didn't like something I said and formed an opinion based on that. It doesn't mean you might not have formed a different opinion of me under different circumstances. The main point is, I don't think most people on the internet will ever see our little talk or really even care one way or the other if you or I are good or bad even if they happen to. So I don't think you should worry much about looking like the bad guy in the comments section of a channel with 2000 subs lol.
