If you go back and watch the fight was pretty even before he got hurt, I wouldn't say he convincingly had the fight won. Bart took him down several times and landed a decent amount of punches.

Bullying someone lower on the card is a rotten thing to do! It's like poking a Gorilla with a stick because it is in a cage - try it with a free roaming one and see how well it turns out for you! This reminds me of a talk I had with a boxer's dad. He told me that he used to haze and be an asshole in the army to his company. (this in Finland where we have a mandatory army service time) Once his service was over and he was partying one night, he got it all back with interest - Four guys from his army company jumped him and beat the crap out of him (I think they might've used baseball bats too). He woke up next morning from under some bus bloodied and bruised and told me that he deserved it! I guess there is nothing like getting some baseball bat education to clear the mind!

@Gjhammer Gjhammer He probably was, but one has to remember that he was - like those guys that beat him up - about 18-20 at the time and it was the seventies. Then if you add the obligatory Finnish way of drinking to it (in Finland you can legally drink, when you're 18 but it usually starts 2-3 years earlier) and it happening late in the night, it probably was not the most coordinated fight ever! It was just one of those, "we'll get even with you type of deals".

The world of WWE wrestling was so toxic, a man as lovely and talented as the Blue Meanie (one of my ECW and Attitude Era heroes) was ostracized for some vague pecking order faux pax. I get why someone could consider it a breach of protocol - Meanie could have been a proud guy or something - but on the same token, why is that even a thing? All these hidden and unknown rules. It IS like jail or school - probably a combination of both, with childish man-bullies. Very few people say it's a good working environment. The only people who seem to love being there are those for the money, those for the addictive fame exposure, or The Undertaker.
