Firstly I gotta say Scott Hall is one of my favorite wrestlers of all time. Hall & Nash and the whole Nitro NWO era was my obsession as a kid. I just wanna let it be known that I’m a huge huge fan but among a whole bunch of other situations through the years. The way he and the kliq done Shane Douglas is so fucked up and idk what the reason was or why they decided to “sabotage” him is fucked up. I’ve seen interviews w Scott saying Shane just wasn’t good(which is simply untrue) but in reality deliberately went heavy on him when in the ring as to make it look as though he just wasn’t good. When Shawn Michaels was apart of the Rockers as a kid they were my favorite tag team. But when he became the heartbreak kid I never could stand him he’s just done some bitch ass snaky ho shit. As an athlete he’s one of it not the best ever. The Kliq were very smart and made the business work in their favor by forming and getting as much $ as they possibly could and I can’t do nothing but respect it. Still don’t excuse the dirty shit that in some cases ended people’s careers or lives in some cases. The Franchise Shane Douglas seems like a very intelligent humble good dude n it sucks he was done that way

@PeaceDweller4 жыл бұрын
In all honesty though, Nash had to play the smiley new generation champion and tow the company line. At the back end of his WWE run Nash started to let some of his real persona shine and he was probably the first wrestler I saw hold up the middle finger at a live PPV. Later when he went on to WCW Nash showed that he could entertain and could always cut a promo. Nash was never going to be a big man worker the likes of Undertaker not even close, but he could entertain when he was free to cut loose.
@markdombrowski96194 жыл бұрын
Peace Dweller Nash and Hall were always entertaining, and the outsiders gimmick definitely changed wrestling in the mid ‘90’s, but add Hogan’s contract to theirs, and there was a reason why the WWF didn’t give out contracts like the WCW did giving those guys unlimited creative control. Those guys reached the top by because they did what Vince McMahon said. They did what was best for business. They were the hottest promotion there was, the product was good and changed the industry, and they could have dethroned the king. Then their egos got in the way . Aside from the obscene amount of money WCW threw at those guys ( which is no fault of theirs), you had three guys who didn’t always do what was best for business, and it ultimately destroyed the company. The Finger Poke of Doom and Hogan’s refusing to put over Jeff Jarrett are the two biggest examples of egos over business.The company never knew a good thing when they had it ( Steve Austin, HHH, Nash and Hall their first time Around), and their inability to see talent mixed with the need to appease “ the boys” at the top, and guys like Jericho, Benoit, Guerrero get buried. The same guys go to the WWE and become hugely popular, and all end up champs .

Overall Shawn was WAY talented than these guys. Yeah Shawn was difficult but name me 5 matches from these crybabies compared to HBK? Most of these guyes have been in the big 3 (WCW, WWF and ECW) but still havent made compelling characters, entrances, moments nor matches that makes me want to feel compassion from them. Shawn has had the same gimmick, style, entrance since 93 with small changes and had great matches and fueds up until his retirement. What have these guys produced? Im on TEAM HBK, I got love for these guyes but there crying because there not as talented as HBK.

This is called an interview. These people are giving their opinion. That doesn’t make them cry babies. have you recovered from stone cold taking the belt from HBK?

I agree none of these guys could or would of been as popular as Shawn or anyone else from the kliq. The kliq brought in the fans and made the money and Vince was smart enough to know that and why he let them get away with so much

32:00 That's not exposing the business. It's just being sloppy and being unprofessional.

I don't even think it was just that. He was going out of his way to make Shane look bad in front of Bill Watts. Shawn already had a reputation for beign a great worker, so by ignoring all of Shane's calls and messing with the flow othe match, he made it look like it was Shane's fault the match was bad.

The part where Dean Douglas says that no one mentioned that his foot was on the rope is false. Here is the match: kzbin.info/www/bejne/eqmZf4mtjbpohJo They did mention it quite a bit.

Yes he was. The thing is ECW didn’t get the notoriety yet. He was considered the first Extreme Championship Wrestling Champion.

I've said this for a long time but the Kliq were "untouchable" because of who they were, blessed with the personalities that they had and still have to this day because that's something that doesn't go away with age, if anything it should refine the older you get but at your core, you are who you are and you can't really change it, for better or for worse. I've said this for years and I'm the ONLY person who is saying which is strange, considering how true it is. A successful pro wrestler has little to nothing to do with being a "good wrestler" and everything to do with your personality, you either have it or you don't, you either get over with the crowd or you don't, and about two thirds of the "Kliq" were not only multi-time World Champions but they were also main eventers, so that's why they were untouchable. They were all friends, they protected each other and they knew how hot they were at the time, and they also knew that they could act up, within reason they could get out of line because why not?, what was Vince going to do? Fire them? ok fine, fire me, I'm going to WCW to make even more money probably. Oh and by the way you just lost your main and semi-main event so good luck with that pal!, Just incredible or w/e his name is, had no main events and was never a world champion, at least not to my knowledge but he's saying it's the name, no, it has nothing to do with your name, and everything to do with you, not everyone can be a successful "pro wrestler", you need a special type of personality to be a successful pro wrestler, see Dwayne Johnson and Richard Fleihr as two very good examples of this!

Shane Douglas gives a story that says Nash was pushed by HBK into suggesting the finish against Carl Oulette. Carl (and even Nash) gives a story that says Nash said straight up “Big Boot, Jackknife, 1, 2, 3”. Makes me wonder if Shane misremembered something.

Definitely can NOT condone in any way the “ politics” of the Kliq. All great wrestlers in my opinion , in different ways . They could have done business but also push for the better , help get guys out of stupid gimmicks and get people over , more people over could be more big money .

The thing is, all these guys talk shit about how they were back then but none of them went to Vince and tried to address it? You never here them say “So I went to Vince and this happened”. No balls. And none them can deny the talent all of them had.

None of these guys could or would of been as popular as the kliq members. They may have done some dirty shit but they were the best in the business and Vince knew that and Vince is a business man that knew the kliq was making him the money
@joseficesrogers19852 жыл бұрын
I don't believe Justin Credible was asked to do the curtain call because Vince originally gave them the ok to do the curtain call but when it was filmed that's when Vince got mad at the kliq so I think Justin is lying about that.
