Totally. There IS no protection for women victims of domestic violence. None. The system is rife with MEN who don't get it. Where do we start? The school district , police, the parents/guardians/ group home-(whoever was legally responsible) of the 17 year this entire time this was taking place for years? Every single person made aware of the ongoing complicated situation (including a 17 year giving birth, I’m assuming, at a hospital at probably at the age of 16) needs to account for the failure to act. Even in Yakima, no one felt they could do better?

There's an issue with mental health in America no one wants to talk about it especially when it comes to law enforcement and the man and women who serve this is something that is not new in that line of work you have cases all the time where police officers are involved in domestic violence and murdering their spouse or their significant other they need to address these issues because it has been in embedded in law enforcement for some time if the criminal justice system would take it more serious these three individuals would still be alive my sympathy and condolences to the children that they left behind. And my biggest sympathies to the family of the 17 year old who had her whole life ahead of her. ✝️
