Oh and the guy you like is Seunghoon or Hoony. He's my favorite in the group! He's principal choreographer as well as lyric contributor. YG Ceo has called him "the business man"; he also is a manager for Winner and I believe he adds a lot to the group's concept as a whole.

basically, after Nam left, Hoon mobilized and took the initiative to dabble on the Creative and PR department for WINNER. Production staff calls him Deputy Lee because he somewhat spearheads the creative marketing. Ex: dance cover contest, started the instagram hashtags etc. He even meets up with PDs from tv shows for the group

Winner wrote their own songs usually by Yoon since their other songsmith Nam has left the group. Maybe thats why there is a change of direction music wise starting with Really Really and Fool. Mino and Hoony also contributes. Jinu usually just stay beautiful 😋

I usually dislike the type of sound Island and Love Me Love Me has, but I was shook at how much I really like both of these and how they pulled both songs off well. Not a WINNER stan, but Fool and these 2 made them shoot up the list like crazy

YES. Someone else finally gets it. I've been saying that there's something different about Winner for years; I've even used the word "polish" to describe it. I've also used "classy" or "sophisticated" but you're right, there is a polish to their songs that even groups from the same company don't have. I don't know what makes the difference - whether it's the members themselves (Seungyoon's/Mino's/Taehyun's producing and composing) or the producers they usually work with. Whatever it is, it made me stan them - I didn't even listen to ballads or RnB until Winner came along - and I don't think you're far behind. ;) I also love hearing about the camera angles/lighting/lenses/aspect ratios too. No one else really talks about that, I've found, and I'm super interested in it. And I believe the same person directed Fool and Island (? just from the colorscape and shooting style, I think Island is the one). If you have any other questions about Winner we'll do our best to answer. People being curious and interested in them again is a huge surprise to Inner Circles after being ignored for so long. It feels so good!

Winner usually work with future bounce, a yg producer duo, but the leader Seungyoon is the group's main composer. Mino also helps with the composing and lyrics while Seunghoon ( the guy you were talking about 😋) also helps with the Lyrics. Yoon was the main composer for both really really, fool and island while love me love me was composed by both Mino and Yoon. Plus I think the darker tone of love me love me was actually the Disco influence in the song coming through 😁. Island has a more dancehall vibe. Thanks for showing so much love to winner! Yoon also wrote the lyrics for love me love me and hoon and mino did the lyrics for the rapping parts so the three of them participated and the other producers help them with the arrangements and production too.

In fact, It's their first time working with Future Bounce. Winner had rarely worked with YG's main producers, unlike Ikon or BlackPink, before this comeback. Even for Really Really co-producer is Kang Uk Jin, who has rarely worked with YG main artists.

for Island the main composer is Future Bounce. on the credit list you can see Future Bounce name is written first : Future Bounce, Bekuh Bom, Seungyoon. RR, Fool and LMLM are composed by Seungyoon and Mino, with Seungyoon as the main composer.

Winner never changed their names, they always referred to each other by those names so they went ahead and added it to their last album's (Really Really and Fool album) credits listing. I am from Korea and a WINNER's big fan. I agree with your reaction and opinion a lot. Thank you for seeing M/Vs so much! The guy that you like is Seung Hoon(HOONY). He is a rapper but also great dancer. He was in a famous dance team before being YG trainee. He made a dance of 'FOOL' and 'Empty' all. His freestyle dance is the best of Korea! The director of both videos is Jinooya. He also did fool, actually. The guy that you like is Lee Seunghoon (Hoon/Hoony), he writes his rap parts and choreographs for the group. Love me love me was composed by Yoon (blonde one), Mino and Future Bounce (YG producers). Island was composed by Yoon, future bounce and bekah bom. Edit: And I don't know if you know the song but if you like cinematography you should really check their song "sentimental".

Winner make their own songs since WIN. Kang Seungyoon, the group's leader and youngest member, is the main producer of the group. Mino and Seunghoon also participate in the production of their songs especially on the writing of their rap lyrics. Nam Taehyun, their former member, used to work a lot with Seungyoon and Mino in producing their songs. Now, it's mostly Yoon, Mino and Hoony who are doing their songs with the help of other YG producers.

WINNER is trained to write/produce their own songs. Kang Seungyoon (Yoon), Song Minho (Mino), Lee Seunghoon (Hoony) has been doing it since WIN:Who Is Next era. Yoon, even before WIN has been writing his own songs, Superstar K2 days.

That polish part you mentioned, I can't agree more to that. While their productions are very polished, artistic, and versatile, I think they are also great actors in terms of how they naturally move and express themselves with their bodies. At the same time, I think they leave some sort of rawness instead of grinding it out like many American songs. And I think that raw part touches me deeply, and presumably makes people feel them genuine and original.

One of my favorite things about this release was the concept photos. Winner had a male Lolita theme going on in the photos, and something about the soft, innocent schoolboy look with the hot pants and bowties was so edgy and fashionable. The photoshoot alone made me stan them.

Form of Therapy absolutely! I think WINNER is very strong as a group cause everyone understands each other well. Yoon said he always writes WINNER's music with the members' strength in mind. When wrote RLRL, he intended to make Jinu's line the killing part because Jinu has that kind of innocent look and sweet voice. Jinu's line ended up being very very popular in SK. I think that's why WINNER stands out for me. WINNER can make the genre they experience with theirs by personalizing the sound with their voice (all 4 have different voices) and composition (hope that makes sense?). They usually make their own choreography too (Hoon). Anyways, thanks again for your appreciation. You speak my mind and I love it when people geeking out haha. Hope you will continue to anticipate their music!

Yes man!! WINNER is so versatile and talented! They can do any genre and put their own spin and style to it that makes them stand out from other artists. Yoon aka Seung Yoon aka the leader maknae was the one who composed both “Really Really” and “Fool” and the same applies this time around. He co-composed “Love Me Love Me” with Mino and he composed “Island”. I swear he’s the most underrated composer in this KPOP generation. When you hear him describing how he creates/sees the melodies (as some musicians/producers) would say. Like one of my friends said he sees colored lights when he is in composing mode. My other friend says he sees actual musical notes floating around in front of his eyes. It’s really interesting to hear Yoon talk about how he gets his creative juices flowing. He said it took him 4 hours to create the melody for “Really Really” while lying in bed. Did you know that “Island” and “Love Me Love Me” were songs he already composed 2-3 years ago??? “Really Really” was a song he freshly composed early last year. So it’s really crazy how these songs were released, but “Island” and “Love Me Love Me” really gives you the end of summer chill vibes. Supposedly, WINNER is having another comeback in late February!! No confirmed dates yet, but WINNER keeps mentioning album and songs..SONGS.,not one or two songs. So I really hope we finally get that WINNER 2nd full album! Their debut album was really good! But a mini album will also do! I don’t know why I have a feeling they might comeback with a R&B/hip hop based concept?? In Yoon’s IG, WINNER did collabs with hip hop/R&B producers from both LA and London. But we never heard a snippet or have news about the songs they made with them. Some say they have a feeling WINNER might comeback with a pop/rock vibe maybe. But what I do know is the boys have been working 24/7 in the studios and practice room finalizing their comeback and also their Japan tour that will start next week. So I hope we get more updates on their comeback! They always manages to give some high quality music and MVS.

Just recently became a fan of your channel after your reaction to Treasure's debut. I love how much Winner has won you visually and musically. Fun fact: The members Mino, Yoon and ex-member Taehyun used to compose and wrote their songs before. But after he left Mino and Yoon were left with the composing and writing plus rapper Hoon (long-haired one) who writes his own verses. They've always had a reputation for being great composers, lyricists, singers and visuals even without the same hype of say Seventeen. Another fun fact: Going Crazy which Treasure used as a signal song for Treasure Box and which you've dubbed as one of the best Kpop songs of all time was composed by Mino. Just to give you an inkling of how immensely talented these boy is as a composer, lyricist and rapper.
