@@CYMotorsport Unless someone will eventually point out continuously disrespecting the rules is not a way to take the CS seriously, I don’t think it’s fair to call Max an actual thread. He sure has the talent but obviously lacks te mentality. I don’t think any other driver would have gotten away with stagnating for 6 years while blaming the ‘restrictions’ of his personalised Newey car for it. It’s truely baffling how he singlehandedly managed to downgrade one of the most celebrated constructors of the history of F1 to some shady backdoor garagista with a dodgy one-dimensional car in order to keep on externalising pressure. Winners don’t mind looking at themselves for answers...

The Bahrain GP clearly shows why no one should underestimate Mercedes even if they don’t have the best car on the grid. They are bold enough to make weird strategies, better consistency by both Hamilton and Bottas will allow them to put pressure on Red Bull for occasions like last weekend where Perez wasn’t in the position to back Max up. And the race showed how Hamilton being Hamilton makes a difference to the pace a Mercedes can get out of the car while Bottas can’t.

That was quite interesting ! I don't think the drivers will be "stuck" in their teams positions, I guess it'll be a bit more shuffled. Also the Honda engine looks really impressive this season, so RB and AT will perform a bit more than you said, but nobody could've known that before the qualifications. And I thought Alonso wouldn't be that good on the track after all these years, even if he got defeated by a sandwich wrapper. Also (a bit unrelated) I'm really looking forward to Aston Martin become more and more on the front. They always "punched above their weight" (I heard this one so much they should put it on their cars), so with the budget and aerorestriction, I think they'll become really competitive, always having had to compete with a lower budget than the other teams. This and the future RB engine.

In the case of Russell and Latifi I think it's important to note that Latifi would have beaten Russell last year if Hamilton hadn't gotten sick, and that Latifi's race pace is pretty much on par with Russell's. If he manages to get his qualifying together then he has a decent chance this year. Granted he did get a lucky P11 in the first round in 2020 but still. Also while Latifi was 0.620 seconds behind Russell in the Bahrain qualifying, the average gap between teammates was 0.545 seconds, so he really wasn't all that far off considering.

I think this season is going to be intense. Predictions were spot on, for the most part. I’d only change the top few. The thing everyone forgets about is the pit crew. We would be foolish to not point the precision in which red bull hits their marks on a pit stop, and the lackluster attempts we’ve seen from Mercedes. That paired with the fact Perez is a strong driver. If that car works out for him, I think he’s going to bring a bigger fight than everyone expects. Bottas can get a seat after this year with any other team, but this is likely it for Perez. He’s hungry, and I thinks that’s going to take him a long way. All in all it’s going to be a fight for sure, but I think Red Bull might be able to edge out Mercedes with a better strategy because the driver pairing they bring. The other thing I think a lot of people are missing is, what happens if Perez and Verstappen start fighting for points position? Will Perez be aloud to race, or will he be asked to make way for the golden child? We are in for one hell of a season! Another awesome video man, keep up the good work!

i think that leclerc will drag that ferrari car to occasional p4 and p3 due to being a robot in qualifying. i also believe that mercs will be faster in the first few rounds of the season, but red bull will strike back after the summer break.
@CYMotorsport3 жыл бұрын
I agree on leclerc and think reverse on merc. but honda seem to have a glitch. if they solved that, you are likely going to be right but they wont even need to be 'striking' as they'll be winning haha
@Xandergre3 жыл бұрын
@@CYMotorsport well we are about to find out, but hamilton is a tough guy to crack under pressure + mercedes is better at clutch decisions imo. Also you are absolutely right when honda fixes their ''issue'' with the power unit, they are going to be even better.

You mean I _didn't_ need to smash the sub button? My fist still hurts. I think I might've understood your video. You predict that Max will be inferior to Lewis, and that Checo will be inferior to Bottas. Yet, you also predict that the Constructors Title will be much closer than the Drivers, while it would seem that it should be the exact opposite. I'm also glad to hear you talk about Lance Stroll from a strictly sporting perspective. He's been around for a while, yet he is only 22. He consolidated his strengths last year (rain, race starts except the one where it truly mattered), and seems to have made his glaring flaw, qualifying, at least passable. While he was certainly underperforming in the second half of 2020, he wasn't as thoroughly bad as many seem to think; he did have 2-3 absolute stinkers, but more often than not it was bad luck (COVID, mechanical at Mugello, being rammed into by Leclerc and Kvyat). All this to say, I don't think he's a future Drivers Title contender unless his consistency drastically increases, and he's certainly no Max/Charles on pure pace, but with his skill set, he could become a race winner. We can recall how he not only got pole in Turkey last year under the most horrid conditions, but he also maintained first place on merit on race day until his front wing issues and his unfortunate tire strategy. But to bring it back to you: I agree, in an underwhelming car next to Vettel, he's in a position to learn and improve with relatively little pressure.

Not points wise, my confidence wise in terms of how close it’ll be. I’m more bullish checo is closer to bottas then max to Hamilton. Plus the allocations differ dramatically. Bottas and checo can swap even if one getting the upper hand, the delta would be much smaller given the 7 point swing between p1 and p2
@miguelpl223 жыл бұрын
Carlos Sainz Jr. is just like his father, who was known as the “consistent” driver. He’d always get podium finishes, but wasn’t too keen on taking risks. So usually what happened is that, if the other team made any mistakes, Sainz would get the win.
@CYMotorsport3 жыл бұрын
Which is what makes Carlos so interesting with Charles. Bc Charles takes risks. In a slightly poor car, I saw Carlos beating him for this exact reason. But not in a decent car. I think Ferrari will be more decent than poor

@@boukevanzinderen6321 …. It’s almost like you just realized what an analyst is. I’m not a predictor. I predict bc I do this professionally. It’s a marker that speaks to what I bring to the table. You look back and measure how close what I said was. We’re not children here I assume everyone wants insight. There’s gradations of what’s possible. That “splitting my bets” aspect is what normal ppl call “nuance” haha. You click on video and expect human beings to be Nostradamus? I think you think too highly of humans I’m afraid if you ever thought that was possible. I’d advise you manage your expectations better my friend. If you’re actually trying to score what I say, do it based on the scenarios I present. Holistically you should went to trust someone who can present multiple scenarios. And it’s silly to suggest I’m blindly “splitting” too. When I deviate I tell you why and all those have happened. So when I’m “wrong” I know precisely why and predicted that too. Ironically McLaren is the only one I did blindly split which I was open about but even then I told you why. Not sure what else you want from me mate haha

Ahahah - very nicely done and impressively accurate too in places given the events that unfolded first GP. I think you should have kept faith with the math as far as Norris is concerned though. I didn't need the statistical weight to know that the Ferrari two were the best overall pairing in F1 currently. However I think you have Fernando all wrong :D why ? You didn't factor abominable self-belief into the distribution skew. Looking at history, Vettels going through a Damon Hill moment. And by inverting your Mercedes argument - the AM does not have the engineering to claw back the downforce. Thats a weak driver pairing and an increasingly weaker car ... As for the Mexican, assuming what he says is right, expect a surge of performance in a couple of GP's time. He has been instructed to "win" by his team. However, oppositely Bottas is going to get held back by Mercedes to favour Lewis which is going to give RB the constructors. As for Clubber Lang, sorry Lewis, I mean - there is nothing anyone can do the way I see it from here - he is too strong a driver whatever car he drives. His Bahrain drive reminded me of the way Michael used to drive. Along with Fernando this is the era of the F1 Ironclads... :D Best to you 😊
