This really works! I did exactly as you suggested and our baby at 2.5 months old now sleeps roughly 5-7hrs at night and has dropped off the middle of the night feeding! My husband and I can't thank you enough for your wonderful advice!

I would follow your doctor's advice. Some babies do better with smaller, more frequent feedings. But if your pediatrician says you don't need to wake her at night I might give that a try and see if she'll take more during the day. I always felt that my pediatrician was my best ally in those early weeks. Good luck with your baby!

My son is 2 months and he drinks 4 oz every 3 hours. At night he eats whenever he wants . Should I wake him up for the feeds he should do at night ? Or just let him wake up when he is ready ? And When would I do nap times with this type of Schedule

You are a star, thank you for explaining this as simple as possible. My baby is 4 months and turns 5 months in 5 days, plays well, sleeps well at night and naps perfectly during the day, but my worry was why is he drinking less milk unlike when i brought him home from the hospital. So i kept a schedule before and after watching your video, you explained my doubt away.
@cloudmom11 жыл бұрын
will try to do a video on this... I think that the formula is priority #1 and that you want the baby to be getting the vast majority of his nutrients from the formula (or milk), the food at this stage is just a dabble to get them used to the feeling of having food in their mouth and trying different tastes, at 4 months I don't think you need to worry that they finish 4 small meals! You are more giving them samples... which is why I recommend giving the formula first, then some food ....

This isn't how it is for some babies. my daughter is 4 months old and eats two 4 ounce bottles a day SOMTIMES 3 Or has cereal instead of bottles but nornally 8 or 12 ounces every day. So this "schedule" isn't really for everyone.

Jeez, she kept repeating in the video that this is NOT THE STANDARD rule to follow when feeding the NB. She mentioned it varies, it depends and talk to your pediatrician. It helps to listen and watch the video properly.

Kissing Bandit, did you deliberately come on a forum headed 'Formula Feeding Schedule for babies 1-4 months' to get yourself angry and worked up enough to try and make new mothers feel as wretched as you must be? Your attitude is borne of ignorance - how can you possibly know the circumstances formula feeding mothers are in and what causes them to bottle feed in the first place?

Trying this out at this moment . Having some difficulty keeping him up after the feeds. He wants to sleep after feeding and cant keep him up for the first hour and half , he wants to sleep and then I’m left with the last hour or hour and half before the next feed woth him up nd fussy nd crying .. should i keep persisting and it will change ?? My schedule when i started yesterday: He woke at 6.30 am fed him nd kept him up until 8 then i put him to sleep .he woke at 10 and kept him busy until 10.30 and gave him the next feed . Kept him up for max 30 min then he just wanted to sleep no matter what i did and again up the last hour and half fussy and moody before the next feed. I kept to it the whole day . The 7 pm feed i kept him up the first hour and half then put him to bed slept abt 30 mins but he was very fussy until the next feed at 11.. fed him at 11 then put him to bed and he was up 2 hrs 15 min fussying abd fussying .. didnt give in kept to the schedule.. Does this sound normal nd will it change as i keep persisting ? Thanks

My baby is 4 weeks, she was 8lbs at birth she dropped almost down 2 lbs and this is with feeding until she's full, now she's spitting up I'm guessing due to being full she is drinking only 60mls but isn't gaining much weight, the last 22 weeks I fed her 80 almost 90mls but she was spitting up and even choking. My doctor told me not to go longer then 3 hours without feeding her my question is, do I keep feeding her just 60mls even though she's not gaining as fast as they like or should I feed her the 80mls and keep having baby spit up?

@jessicabrooks15177 жыл бұрын
I wouldn't give your baby water if they are under 1 year. Babies tummies are very sensitive and if they get full on water they aren't getting the vital nutrients that they need. Juice also isn't recommended under 1 year but some moms use it for constipation.
