I was also a bit suspicious in 2021 when the Belgian GP was held for exactly 2 laps behind the safety car instead of being cancelled due to heavy rain. That's just enough laps to give drivers 50% instead of 0% of the points (awarded based on their qualifying position, since no overtaking under the safety car) & for Verstappen to overtake Hamilton in the WDC standings

Everyone with new tires and let the best driver / car win... but this is too good and too easy so they will not introduce this .
