Forrest plays Maurice Andre's cadenza to the Haydn Trumpet Concerto

Forrest (now 11) recently played a concert for a local community group. The late Maurice Andre is one of Forrest's trumpet heroes, and Forrest chose to play Andre's cadenza at the conclusion of the first movement of the Haydn Trumpet Concerto. Check it out!

I agree that the audience, although supportive and impressed, doesn't have a true appreciation for how good this kid is. It would be hard to find a high school trumpet player that could play this well. I'm glad he takes after Maurice Andre and takes a lighter approach to air and articulation. Very impressive, indeed!
