Forrest Johnston at ITG 2012 - Neruda Concerto 1st movement with cadenza

Forrest (age 11) had a great time at ITG this year and getting to perform in Legacy Hall during the Youth Competition was definitely a highlight. It was also great to catch up with Forrest's grand-teacher, Charlie Schlueter, to whom we will always be grateful for showing us how the trumpet is supposed to sound!

Forrest is just eleven years old and has won first place in the ITG Youth Competition both in 2011 and 2012. Also placed first in the 2012 National Trumpet Competition. A rising young performer.

I believe Forest is 11 or 12 years old. This young man is playing a piece performed by Master Trumpet players. It's always a pleasure getting to him perform.
