Noooo, not everybody rewards from the right. I reward where the dog is supposed to be. For the front I reward with both hand in the middle. This is common sense.

This kind of walking has no relevance to a good working dog or a pet dog. It only satisfies a control freak. There are many problems around this ethos in competitive competition training. The science of the training is sound. But a pet dog needs to be relaxed, and a working dog needs to be environmentally situationally aware. This kind of heel work will not help you achieve either
