Forskaren installation works by Staticus

Forskaren installation team (with a little robotic help) reached an installation rate of 53 elements per day - a new Staticus' record.
How did they do it?
The idea was for one team to use the SL1009 glazing robot - Smartlift’s most advanced unit to date - to install whole elements, rather than just the actual glass itself. This meant we could speed up the installation process significantly more than we ever thought possible.
This unorthodox solution was made necessary by the lack of space on site for a regular crane. The solution also enabled our teams to store a large number of the façade elements indoors. When installing by crane, it is not possible to stock so many elements. Furthermore, rain and wind can affect installation by crane, whereas indoor installation can carry on regardless. So, the use of the glazing robot meant the process was considerably faster than installing by crane.
With careful weight calibration of the elements during production, this novel solution could become a staple in the months and years to come.
